Economy
The other side of the story that Big Media doesn't share with you. Find out what you may be missing to help voters have a more balanced view then putting all the blame solely on Bush and the private sector....
The Economy and what Big Media is not telling you...-Let's go back a "1999 New York Times article." entitled "Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending"-"Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders. The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring. Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits."..."In July, the Department of Housing and Urban Development proposed that by the year 2001, 50 percent of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's portfolio be made up of loans to low and moderate-income borrowers. Last year, 44 percent of the loans Fannie Mae purchased were from these groups."
Now onto an article just recently published by the from the Boston Globe
Frank's fingerprints are all over the financial fiasco-"'THE PRIVATE SECTOR got us into this mess. The government has to get us out of it."That's Barney Frank's story, and he's sticking to it. As the Massachusetts Democrat has explained it in recent days...The roots of this crisis go back to the Carter administration. That was when government officials, egged on by left-wing activists, began accusing mortgage lenders of racism...The pressure to make more loans to minorities (read: to borrowers with weak credit histories) became relentless. Congress passed the Community Reinvestment Act, empowering regulators to punish banks that failed to "meet the credit needs" of "low-income, minority, and distressed neighborhoods." Lenders responded by loosening their underwriting standards and making increasingly shoddy loans...."Lack of credit history should not be seen as a negative factor," the Fed's guidelines instructed. Lenders were directed to accept welfare payments and unemployment benefits as "valid income sources" to qualify for a mortgage. Failure to comply could mean a lawsuit...Frank blithely declares: "The private sector got us into this mess." Well, give the congressman points for gall. Wall Street and private lenders have plenty to answer for, but it was Washington and the political class that derailed this train. If Frank is looking for a culprit to blame, he can find one suspect in the nearest mirror."
Obama's connection with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ignored in Big Media. The Fact that Bush tried to reform Freddie and Fannie ignored in Big Media.-"In 2003, the Bush administration tried to stop the runaway train of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and Republicans controlled both chambers of Congress. Democrats alone didn’t stop this. No one filibustered the Bush administration’s bill in the Senate; it didn’t have the votes to pass anyway. Likewise in 2006, when Chuck Hagel, John McCain, John Sununu, and Elizabeth Dole attempted to fix Fannie and Freddie, Republicans controlled Congress and did nothing to pass this bill. Democrats blocked it, but without some help from Republicans, both efforts would have passed easily. This is not just a Democratic or a Republican party problem at this point, it's everyone's problem."-There is an interesting.
"the TV news media that practically ignored mounting problems – including accounting scandals – at Fannie Mae and her brother Freddie Mac until it was too late."
"prior to this year, the watchdogs at ABC, CBS and NBC found time for only 10 stories on the financial health and management of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."
"As if blaming deregulation wasn’t enough, The New York Times online attacked Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., on Sept. 24 for ties to Freddie Mac, but glossed over Sen. Barack Obama’s, D-Ill., connection to Fannie and Freddie. And never mind Barney Frank’s (see related story). The Times story buried campaign contribution figures for both candidates until the very last paragraph of the 1,401 word story. According to the article, since 2004 “Senator Obama has received about $126,000 in contributions from employees of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, while Senator McCain, over the last decade, has received about $22,000, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.”Obama was the number 2 recipient of contributions from Fannie and Freddie, compared to McCain’s 62 – but the Times didn’t mention that."
"Actually, a little -- two years ago, I warned that the oversight of Fannie and Freddie was, was terrible, that we were facing a crisis because of it, or certainly serious problems"-McCain..."In fact, it was Democrats who blocked Bush administration proposals to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2003. 2003 New York Times article that detailed efforts by Democrats to block reforms: query.nytimes.com"
"In 2004, as The Wall Street Journal declared Fannie Mae was “cooking the books” to the tune of $11 billion dollars, ABC, CBS and NBC were almost silent."
And much more that Big Media is censoring at the expense of the Republican Party which then is at the expense of the unborn, Biblical Traditonal Family Values and religious liberties which then will be at the expense of God's blessings. There is much more like under Bush's tax cuts the rich ended up paying more percentage of the over tax pool. That even though Bush's tax cuts cut taxes for all it ended up that the rich paid higher percentages then others before Bush's tax cuts under Clinton. Something that is obviously missing in Big Media. Just because Bush's tax cuts did give cuts to the rich doesn't mean that the rich are paying less by percentage of all the taxes but rather more then before which goes to show that the Democrat and Big Media painting of Republican's is not exactly on the mark.
Pro-Life vs Obama
Obama's abortion reduction plan in doubt. The Roe vs Wade of Europe and thousands of women are having abortion but no one is talking in the UK.-"Obama said at the Saddleback forum-"The fact is that although we have had a president who is opposed to abortion over the last eight years, abortions have not gone down and that is something we have to address."
Is this true? Pro-lifers already knew this to be false cause this is something we have been excited about since months ago thanks not to Big Media but Conservative Media that abortions have dropped during Bush's presidency and others including Clinton's. But have dropped to a 30 year record low during the Bush presidency but are still astronomically high considering that a child is not a child the moments he/she passes thru the pelvic but are as much a child the day before and the day before that and then before that and so on....This is not above anybodies pay grade even a child could determine a baby is as much alive the day before and months before birth as a baby is afterwards....
Factcheck update
U.S. Abortion Rate at 30-Year Low-"new study reveals abortion rates fell 33 percent in the U.S. over the last 30 years. But the report also reveals there are still significant differences among populations as to who gets an abortion. The Guttmacher Institute's study says while abortions and pregnancies among teenagers has dropped 50 percent, abortion rates are still high among older women with children and poor women. Abortion rates also differed dramatically between racial and economic groups. While abortions did decrease among white women, it did not for those of Latin or African-American descent. Click the play button for comments from Day Gardner of the National Black Pro-Life Union."
U.S. ABORTION RATE CONTINUES LONG-TERM DECLINE, FALLING TO LOWEST LEVEL SINCE 1974; MORE EFFORT STILL NEEDED TO REDUCE UNINTENDED PREGNANCY-Showing the release of this report back in January of 2008 to be published and then published in March of 2008. So Obama had no excuse for his comments!!!
This is done by a pro-Planned Parenthood in philosophy group so there is no pro-life bias here as is evidence by their philosophy. Check into it for yourself.
Sadly, one thing that this study does not indicate is the effectiveness of many pro-life policies that have helped reduce abortions that if Obama becomes president would override everyone by signing into law FOCA.
125,000 more abortions per year under proposed “Freedom of Choice Act”-"With so much attention on the economy, one area of federal legislation that can be overlooked is abortion. An old and dangerous bill that will increase abortions by an enormous amount is being resurrected by abortion advocates: the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). H.R. 1964 and S.1173.FOCA is usually reported as “codifying Roe v. Wade,” but it is much more. Since the Webster and Casey decisions in 1989 and 1992, the Supreme Court has allowed states to limit abortion somewhat by such things as requiring parental involvement and informed consent, prohibiting government funding of most abortion, and more recently outlawing most partial birth abortions. But FOCA tolerates none of this. Advocates and opponents of FOCA all agree that the bill would nullify every legal limit on abortion, state, federal or otherwise. Americans United for Life, as well as the Family Research Council, explain this fact in great detail. Abortion advocates who want FOCA concur: NOW, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and FOCA sponsor Senator Barbara Boxer all contend that FOCA will strike down all state pro-life laws....CHART (pdf): Combined Reduction in Abortions from State Laws on Parental Involvement, Informed Consent, and Abortion Funding Restrictions...Specifically, if FOCA is passed it will increase abortions by 125,000 more per year in the United States. Since 2004, Dr. Michael New has published studies with the Heritage Foundation showing that a large reduction in abortions can be attributed to these three kinds of laws."
Bush vs Obama on Dr's conscience rights-"So we don't protect a baby who survives an abortion, nor are we to allow parental involvement and now Physicians, Dr's and Health Workers are forced to go against their conscience and encourage what to them is the taking of an innocent human life?!!? These Roe vs Wade defenders are extending Roe vs Wade over parental rights, born alive infant rights, conscience rights, all at the favoring of a women's right to choose at the expense of an unborn child's right to life."-If this is how important a women's right to choose is and Roe vs Wade is then something has gone astray and it sure ain't the innocent life inside of the womb!!!!
And lastly in this blog don't miss the The Roe vs Wade of Europe
Eduardo Verastegui and the unborn vs Obama and YouTube when it comes to the Hispanic pro-life values voters-Star actor in Bella makes a youtube video with an edited and unedited version. Unedited version is yanked from YouTube. It's all in spanish directed to the hispanic values voter to basically not vote for Obama because of the issue of the unborn. If you find these videos distasteful cause it exploits the life ending abuse of the unborn just consider that in times past like the holocaust or the abuses of the slave trade that sometimes its necessary to exploit these things for what they really are in detail for the sake of factual persuasion of others to end these atrcoties. It is one thing that abortion occurs in the context of saving a life of the mother if both are going to die or something like that but it is quite another that babies are treated this way for convenience sake. Abortion should be banned in almost all cases except life saving situations. And an argument could be made that a mother should protect her child's life even if at the expense of her own. Not that this would be an easy decision to make but clearly the more loving thing to do. I think many mothers and fathers would gladly give their lives for the sake of their children and I don't see why this same love can't be extended into the womb. And lastly, we have all sinned and all need forgiveness. Abortion is not the unforgivable sin. King David was forgiven for murdering the husband of the wife that he committed adultery with. Paul was forgiven for persecuting God's own people and many many other examples of great forgiveness in the scriptures. So this is not at all a condemning message. Sure without forgiveness it is but thank God that in Christ when sin is revealed to us we can apologize and receive forgiveness cause unlike any other religion in the world God actually paid the price for our sin and so that price is perfectly satisfied and thus forgiveness can be perfectly given and confidently received because it relies ultimately on His perfect act as opposed to our already imperfect acts. So bear that in mind if you have committed abortion. There is perfect forgiveness in Christ like no other.

Fireproof
Update on Fireproof movie in theatres. On its first weekend it grossed in at number 4 despite being in only 840 or so theatres. My wife and I saw it and it is excellent. One of our top ten movies. A must see for all. You will be in tears but a good kind of tear. No typical hollywood believe in yourselfism nonsense. A man is a good man only because somebody outside of that man has touched that man (what self pride killer of a movie). But it's much more then that. Just a great movie. Must see. Down to earth non hollywoodized relationships, down to earth conversations with down to earth real people which compliments its down to earth production and cost of the movie. A movie that will relate to the common man and woman going thru a common problem of selfishness, pride, etc etc with the real solution and answer. The movie cost $500,000 to make and has brought in its first week almost 10 million dollars.
A must see http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/. Wow!!!
An American Carol
http://americancarol.com/-also in theatres now...."An American Carol is a 2008 American comedy film, directed by David Zucker and starring Kevin Farley. Presented from a conservative perspective, the film "lampoons contemporary American culture, particularly Hollywood."[2] It uses the framework of A Christmas Carol but moves the setting of the story from Christmas to Independence Day. It is written by Myrna Sokoloff and Zucker. The supporting cast includes Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, Dennis Hopper, Trace Adkins, Jillian Murray and Leslie Nielsen. [3] The film was released on October 3, 2008."-Wikipedia
Come What May
On DVD. Eduardo Verastegui and the unborn vs Obama and YouTube when it comes to the Hispanic pro-life values voters-"Advent Film Group (AFG) produced the movie in association with Patrick Henry College, a true-to-life powerhouse in collegiate debate and moot court competition. PHC, founded eight years ago, enrolling only 300 students, has won the Moot Court National Championship twice and has beaten Oxford in England and again in Richmond, VA. The movie's legal argument is solid."
"Come what may"-Trailers and clips. An interestingly simple argument in favor of the unborn is presented in one of the clips of the movie. Something to this effect: When is a baby alive? And one answers when a human is born. Then was the baby alive a day before he/she was born? And the obvious answer to even a child would be of course. So then how many days back from birth is a baby alive and so on, ultimately to conception. So then the argument ends with, is there a day in which we are considered to be alive and that moment only happens at one point in our life and that is at the moment of conception.
Eduardo Verastegui and the unborn vs Obama and YouTube when it comes to the Hispanic pro-life values voters-"Actor in Bella speaks out on the issue of abortion against Obama. This is in spanish directed toward Hispanic values voter who are largely pro-life. If you have yet to see Bella it is a must buy or rent. See http://www.bellamoviesite.com/ "#1 top rated film by New York Times reader poll, Yahoo and Fandango." If you didn't know about this film blame Big Media and Hollywood for not picking up on this film as much as the polls did." Star actor in Bella speaks out against abortion and Obama for supporting abortion. On this blog see edited and unedited spanish only versions of star actor in this movie. See above for more details but if you haven't seen Bella rent it or buy it. It is another good relational movie. Down to earth and relatable to everyday people.
The Roe vs Wade of Europe. Obama's abortion reduction plan in doubt. The Economy. Fireproof is on Fire.
Labels: First Amendment Case Victories, Liberal Media Bias, McCain, Obama, Pro-LifeMatt Damon and Oprah Winfrey vs Palin. 3 More 1st Amendment Victories. UK's Leading scientist urges creationism in schools. Will Bush end the funding?
Labels: Liberal Media Bias, McCain, Pro-Life, Same Sex Marriage, Sarah PalinFirst a must see video arguing for a Values Vote from www.CatholicVote.com. (I am not a Catholic as you all probabily know but this is an excellent argument for a Value Vote. A must view.)
Also, note below that McCain this last week according to fivethirtyeight.com just passed Obama in the Electoral College polls and has continued to build his lead and also, that more Republicans in the polls have self-identified as Republicans and that even the congressional and senate races are now closer then ever before. I wonder if this has anything to do with the GOP making some excellent stands in the RNC and Palin. (See GOP Platform the most pro-family and pro-life in the history of the GOP!!!!) Which has almost unaminously excited the social conservative base of the Republican Party and social conservatives like James Dobson are now in the Republican boat. Notice Big Media is not reporting on this in any meaningful detail. This is big news even if it favors one party over the other and isn't that what Big Media has been saying about Obama and why so much attention given to him in his campaign. Well what about when it happens on the other side? Big Media!!!
Since McCain won the primaries to the social conservative grin, Big Media had reports that social conservatism was dead or not as influential in the Republican party as before. When my interpretation of McCain's win was largely because all the social conservative votes in the primaries were split amongst those who were appealing to social conservatives like Romney and Huckabee and so McCain won because we social conservatives were splitting up our votes. Social Conservativism is very much alive in the Republican party as it was in the primaries and now maybe even more so since McCain has earned the votes of social conservatives by his continued meetings with social conservative leaders before Saddleback (by the way unreported by Big Media) then his excellent showing at Saddleback (largely unreported by Big Media on the 4 Big TV networks) and then his excellent choice in a strong social conservative VP (inspite of Big Media over criticism in comparison to Biden and Obama which only added to the already perceived media as Big from the RNC) and then his excellent choice in allowing without arguments the GOP platform to be the most pro-life and family platform in the history of the GOP. I am not saying that the social conservative base is the majority of the Republican party but it is enough to make the election of a Republican president necessary and that is great news for conservative moral values in our country. The values that made America possible in the first place and has continued to allow America to be salt and light in America and in this world!!!
Now the concern will be what McCain will do after elected. It is pretty clear McCain is pro-life so I don't have to many concerns there except in Embryonic Stem Cell Research however, if he wants to be relected another 4 years I think he will be more likely to be convinced to stay away from that issue then would Obama. And the same goes for some of the other issues. I believe McCain believes that if he keeps the social conservatives on his side he will do better then if he doesn't so if he does have policies that violate a social conservative base then he will be more likely to consider not doing so. This is we the people at work checking and balancing our leaders and it only works if their is a number of social conservative voters out there. So get out your vote and even if you disagree with McCain on some issues we have to get the moral issues down right and even if you believe McCain is doing this to get elected we can still hold him more accountable then if Obama were elected. So our voice will matter in the McCain campaign as opposed to the Obama.
Our issues are not above McCain's pay grade as they are above Obama's!!!!!!!!!! McCain is not perfect but has indeed considered our concerns and in my opinion has earned our vote so lets let the Republican party know how important we are by rewarding McCain for his stance on these issues and get out to the voting booth like never before!!! Let's support this president by continuing to encourage him to make the right decisions!!! If we don't then what are we saying. We are essentially saying that even if a president makes the right values voter decision it will be at the expense of his political career. Let us never let a president who takes a stand as McCain has in appealling to his social conservative base pay for it. At least not from us....and encourage others to do the same for the sake of American Values. If McCain loses let it not be because we didn't do our job in getting out the vote for him!!!
Remember that God is in control not voters or any president but God does use people and presidents providentially to bring about His plan for history (Jesus is a perfect example of how God uses even terribly bad situations for His good. Even when the people are bad and the ruler is bad, God used them to bring about the cross of Christ and the greatest love ever displayed from a God to the world. Sometimes to get our attention God has to shake things up and calls us to look in the futuer for hope.). So all in good context let's see what God has ordained for November elections. Remember the congressional and senate races, also!!! Even if our candidate loses God calls us to the future and to trust in Him above any candidate anyways!!! We are in a no lose situation if we trust Him above all else!!!
Oprah Winfrey and socially conservative women
Florida women's group to boycott Oprah-"The Florida Federation of Republican Women are boycotting The Oprah Winfrey Show after the talk-show host refused to allow Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a guest on her show before the election. FFRW also urges subscribers to the celebrity's magazine, O, to cancel their subscriptions. Cindy Graves, a vice president of FFRW, says Oprah Winfrey built her career catering to women and the advancement of women's rights. Now, Graves says Winfrey is alienating a large portion of her audience by refusing to interview Governor Palin before the election. "This [story] is...a women's issue, again, regardless of whether you support Governor Palin or you don't," said Graves. "And we feel as though that Oprah, bless her, has always been someone we respected and we were just so surprised and shocked that that would be her stance." In a press statement, FFRW president Linda Ivell says the decision not to bring Palin onto the show until after the election means the popular talk-show host is "sit[ting] out the greatest political moment in the history of Republican women since suffrage."-Oprah can do what she likes with her show and business. But if she is going to endorse Obama and then not allow, at the requests of her Oprah fans, to have Sarah Palin on her show definitely gives the appearance of political bias. Which just adds to the perception of many that Big Media is indeed Big.
Is Oprah Biased? Host Won't Interview Palin-"With almost 1,000 comments on her community message board dedicated to a possible Palin interview, Winfrey is already garnering strong reaction among her fans -- both those who are pleased with her decision and those who are not, such as Grossman-Green."
September 09, 2008: Polls show that Big Media journalist may be raising questions unequally and unfairly. Palin's testimony. Obama loosing moderate evangelicals.-Video of Palin speaking before her church in Alaska and more...Obama losing moderate evangelicals-"And now a story in today's Wall Street Journal: The moderate evangelical vote is slipping away from Barack Obama."
September 10, 2008: Update on Crystal Dixon. Biden and Obama on abortion getting Big Media attention. Should Sarah Palin be in Politics?-"White women have moved from 50-42 percent in Obama's favor before the conventions to 53-41 percent for McCain now, a 20-point shift in the margin that's one of the single biggest post-convention changes in voter preferences."
Biden and Obama are interviewed concerning positions on abortion in Big Media and Jill Stanek responds: "Biden, like Obama, attempted to make this a religious question. But it is much more than that. It is a scientific, medical, and constitutional question. When do science and medicine say human life begins? At conception. This isn't some vague concept. What about the Constitution? 35 years ago US Supreme Court Chief Justice Harry Blackmun wrote in the Roe v. Wade decision: "The appellee ... argue that the fetus is a "person" within the language and meaning of the 14th Amendment ... If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case, of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the Amendment." 35 years ago one could not watch human fertilization with a microscope or view early life with 4D ultrasound. Were personhood to be an issue before the US Supreme Court today, as Blackmun stated, the other side's argument would "collapse."
Palin had just gone thru a pretty tough interview with Charlie Gibson. I do wish that they had been equally tough on Biden and Obama concerning their position on abortion. See what follow up question Jill Stanek would have asked Obama: "I wish Brokaw's follow-up question had been phrased like this, "So your judgment is that the unborn are living human beings but you still think it should be legal to kill these living human beings?...Nevertheless, Obama still feigned ignorance, which begged the next question Stephanopoulos didn't ask: Why so avidly support abortion if you're not sure it may kill innocent human souls?" Also, see other questions that should be asked of Obama at: New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection,
JivinJ's Life Links 9-12-08-"Father Thomas Williams on Joe Biden's recent appearance on Meet the Press: The more serious problem for Joe Biden at this point is not the loss of his credibility as a Catholic, but as a person of conscience. When you say on national television that you agree with your Church that abortion is murder, but that you intend to support legislation that keeps abortion fully available, you leave voters wondering why you would support a right to what you consider to be murder...."
Should Sarah Palin be in Politics?-"There is concern and reservations over the candidacy of Sarah Palin as a vice-presidential candidate, and not all of it is coming from the political left.
September 11, 2008: 82% of voters who support McCain believe the justices should rule on what is in the Constitution, just 29% of Barack Obama supporteers agree!!!-The title is a little disturbing if reflective of Obama supporters and how the question for the poll was worded. Also, ACLU Donates $1.2 Million to Anti-Marriage California Proposition vs Local donors give $1.6 million for ban on gay marriage
September 12, 2008: Big Media missing gaps on the Economy, Iraq, Palin, the American People's view of Big Media, South Dakota ballot measure and more...-http://www.fivethrityeight.com/-Has McCain ahead in Electoral College Polls 272 to 266 on 09/11/2008 for first time since primaries that I am aware of on this site which I have been checking almost daily..." But now on the 12th McCain is ahead 277 to 261 and now again on the 13th McCain is up 289.8 to 248.2. We will have to wait and see if this momentum maintains or carries over.
Poll: Convention lifts McCain over Obama-"The Republican National Convention has given John McCain and his party a significant boost, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken over the weekend shows, as running mate Sarah Palin helps close an "enthusiasm gap" that has dogged the GOP all year. McCain leads Democrat Barack Obama by 50%-46% among registered voters, the Republican's biggest advantage since January and a turnaround from the USA TODAY poll taken just before the convention opened in St. Paul. Then, he lagged by 7 percentage points....The convention bounce has helped not only McCain but also attitudes toward Republican congressional candidates and the GOP in general"
Gallup: Battle for Congress Suddenly Looks Competitive-"Gallup reports: “A potential shift in fortunes for the Republicans in Congress is seen in the latest USA Today/Gallup survey, with the Democrats now leading the Republicans by just 3 percentage points, 48% to 45%, in voters’ ‘generic ballot’ preferences for Congress. This is down from consistent double-digit Democratic leads seen on this measure over the past year.”
McCain Holds Lead for Sixth Straight Day, Poll Shows-"Based on polling conducted Sept. 8-10, McCain had 48 percent to Obama’s 44 percent, holding on to gains from the Republican National Convention." And now a full week but each day dropping by a point see below...McCain Holds Three-Point Lead over Obama-"GOP presidential candidate John McCain had a three-point lead on Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, according to the latest Gallup poll released Friday. The poll, conducted Sept. 9-11, showed McCain with 48 percent and Obama with 45 percent, which is not a statistically significant advantage."
Big Media missing gap on the Economy
Big Media may share with you the polls that show the Economy to be an important issue amongst voters but they won't show you how the polls describe how the voters want the Economy fixed....
Most Voters Say Encouraging Economic Growth is Key, but Big Government is Not the Solution-"Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters say encouraging economic growth in America is more important than closing the gap between the rich and poor, and the best way to do that is for the government to move out of the way....A survey conducted back in January found that 53% of voters said creating economic growth was more important, while 40% said that of reducing the economic class gap."
Maybe this is why McCain is gaining...
McCain Closing in on Obama on Economy-"In a Sept. 5-7 USA Today/Gallup poll, 48 percent of Americans say Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama can better handle the economy compared to 45 percent who say McCain can do a better job."
There are many other great articles like defining what a "Recession" is and what about budget deficits etc etc. Also, that the economy grew 3.3 last quarter which probabily most people don't know!!!
The War in Iraq and some interesting articles from a non Big Media perspective!!!
But check out these comments in the Pro-Life section of this blog I found on JillStanek.com
JivinJ's Life Links 9-10-08-"The logic of the modified pro-choice position reduces to, "I think it's wrong to kill my own children, but I don't think we should stop other people from killing theirs." Notice that this critique has nothing to do with whether abortion is right or wrong. That's a different question. I am simply pointing out that the modified pro-choice view deals itself a fatal blow. That is Biden's blunder, and the blunder of anyone else advancing such a foolish notion...."

41% in GOP say marriage important to their vote, up from 39% in 2004-"MSNBC reports:Conservative activist Gary Bauer claims the decision by CA to legalize gay marriage could help the GOP. “The Pew poll found that 41 percent of Republicans say same-sex marriage will be ‘very important’ to their vote this year, which is remarkable considering that 39 percent felt as strongly in 2004.”
Arizona: 160 donors back state marriage measure-"The Arizona Republic reports: While many of the citizens initiatives on Arizona’s November ballot have been bankrolled by special interests, a measure to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman has received an influx of campaign contributions from individuals in recent weeks. The Yes for Marriage campaign pulled in more than $2.3 million from 160 donors across the state since the secretary of state’s reporting period that ended Aug. 13. That brought the campaign’s total to about $3 million"
Cayman Islands pass law defining marriage as one man, one woman-"The CayCompass reports: Cayman Islands lawmakers voted in favour of a ban on same sex marriages following a debate Friday in the Legislative Assembly. The Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2008 still requires the legal formality of a third vote before passing, but lawmakers unanimously approved a key second vote on the measure Friday afternoon. The formal third vote is expected sometime this week. The ban, accomplished simply by defining marriage as “the union between a man and a woman as husband and wife,” will be added as an amendment to the Marriage Law (2007 Revision) when Governor Stuart Jack signs it . . .
Contrary to ABC Report, Palin’s Global Warming Views Have Been Consistent-"A reading of the public record shows Palin has not changed her position, contrary to ABC News, which headlined its segment on global warming as, “Palin Takes Hard Line on National Security, Softens Stance on Global Warming.” Palin’s responses to Gibson were consistent with what she has said in newspaper op-eds and in public statements."

Labels: Born Alive Infant Protection Act, Jill Stanek, Liberal Media Bias, Obama, Pro-LifeI am going to advertise www.jillstanek.com and encourage you all to subscribe to her feeds. She is well documented and is the very nurse that testified before Obama when this issue of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act began in Obama's political home state of Illinois. Many links to her site are below as I did a 7 part series of Jill Stanek vs Obama. You will see how well she documents her site as you investigate further into this issue and utilize her site for other similar issues. It's always good to get Obama's side and her side and other sources as well but definitely try to understand Obama's side and her's and then check out others and make your decision on this issue but do not leave out her's. She reveals alot more then you would ever know listening to the liberal media sources...See below...Wow!!!
Here is a sample of recent posts on her blog:
McCain goes after Obama for Born Alive opposition in today's radio address-08/23/2008
Stanek to attend Democrat Convention-08/23/2008 "SO! I will be live blogging from the DNC next week! If all goes well, I'll not only provide commentary and news but also video and photos. I have even registered to attend the pro-abortion group EMILY's List now-sold-out gala with guest speakers Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama. Now that should be interesting. I plan also to cover pro-life events and pickets. So when next I write it will be from the Mile High City!"
Did IL abortion law protect babies aborted alive?-08/22/2008. Two video reports and well documented!!!
RH Reality Unchecked-08/22/2008"In reality, Amanda is now being endlessly tortured by the "bloody remains of later term abortions." That photo is so sad. Makes me all the more determined. I want to pause and extend heartfelt thanks to many of you and many blog friends for mopping up after me in the comments section here, on Left blogs, and your own blogs. This allows me to remain focused on exposing Obama as pro-abortion on steroids to the point he supports letting little preemie babies die cold and alone in hospital soiled utility rooms because saving them would "burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion," as we have now have him saying on audiotape."-Warning: picture of baby that should never be.
Stanek on the O'Reilly Factor-09/04/2007. "On September 29, 2000, I was interviewed on the O'Reilly Factor about my experience as an RN at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, holding a live aborted baby. Bill O'Reilly was uncharacteristically speechless a couple times throughout, which may be why he chose to replay this as one of his five highlights of the year on December 28, 2000."
Now to Jill Stanek vs Obama in 7 parts
Part 1
New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection-"Jill Stanek was the nurse that testified before congress and Obama on behalf of the babies born alive. In Illinois the act didn't pass until after Obama left his position in 2005. She claims Obama was instrumental in blocking this bill from passing in Illinois. Review the evidence for yourself below, with this well documented post by Jill and more. Is it Providence that the Born Alive Infant Protection Act has it's roots in the state of Obama's political career? Is God saying something to us as a nation concerning the unborn or is this all coincidence?"
Part 2
Jill Stanek vs Obama. Jill documents her credibility in response to Obama's smears.-"Praise the Lord!!! May this issue continue to get the intention it deserves and may Jill continue to be that stumbling block for Obama's campaign for the sake of the lives of the unborn and the salvation and/or maturity in the personal life of Obama. I am believing and praying for CHANGE in the life of Obama and the democrat party. More on the providence of God over this issue tomorrow in Jill Stanek vs Obama part 3..."
Part 3
Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama a Providential God send?-"Jill Stanek (Nurse who testified before Obama concerning babies being left to die in a utility room after surviving an abortion see above links for further information) reports on 08/11/2008 two new documents produced by the National Right to Life proving that Obama has been misrepresenting his position on the issue concerning the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in his state. Five days later on 08/16/2008 Obama is asked by a christian news broadcasting company (who else would be the first to ask such a question) about his position on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, during his very first and historic meeting at a christian church with McCain (again see above links for further context and evidence).....Now, back to Providence or Coincidence? (See more concerns on the media below). This may be a damaging issue to Obama's campaign we will have to wait and see but one thing for sure is that this issue has brought more attention to the cause of the unborn then if Obama didn't win the primary against Clinton. So is Obama in one sense a God send for the sake of attention to the unborn? As reported above there are many hurdles against the unborn one being media attention. Is it not interesting that the first forum between Obama and McCain is a religious one? Issues like abortion, religious freedom and gay marriages....If anything it will bring more attention then less to the unborn and what better of an issue to get the attention of the public then this issue regardless of whether or not Obama had good reason for not passing such a bill showing the reality of the humanity of the unborn child left to die after a boched abortion...So whether this is providence or coincidence may we pray in Jesus name that this issue is a God send by bringing Obama to the forefront for the sake of both the unborn and survivors of this promiscuously sinful and thus abortion filled society and that Obama, being one of those survivors, has a Godly revelation in his mind over this issue just like Norma McCorvey did (see Testimony of Roe of Roe vs Wade) thus providing a great testimony for all members of humanity."
Part 4
Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama changes "fact sheet". More media attention is being given to the unborn and Obama's voting record on abortion.-"The Obama campaign has sent me their argument layout and that can be viewed here. The National Right to Life argument is here."
"Do click on both. I have yet to read the National Right to Life argument but it is clear that Planned Parenthood issued a fact sheet in 02/2003 that stated something to the effect that even though the language was indeed similar to the federal bill that another amendment was necessary at the state level. Which makes sense coming from that perspective. However, Obama never is reported of giving this reason for not supporting the bill in 2003 which should raise a question as to why not? Rather the reasoning given until 08/16/2008 was that the state and federal bills were different which is correct but only because he did not vote to pass that bill as amended to include the amendment necessary which he doesn't explain either. So these two questions remain for me. Either way the unborn are getting attention and Obama's hard pro-choice position is getting attention, also.
Now as I have read thru the National Right to Life argument and placing the two together I believe the issue is much clearer. A must read, cause as you read the two together connecting the dates and notice that on Obama's argument there is no quote at all from him reported in the argument for giving the reason Planned Parenthood's fact sheet gave for not voting on the bill in his state and so it is quite a providential omission of information by Obama whether purposeful or not that wasn't caught back then when he was running for senate but now may be an issue that costs alot more at a presidential level and at the same time bring more attention to the unborn then if it were caught at the state as opposed to this national level and limelight!!! Maybe making abortion a bigger issue then it is now!!! Wow!!!"
Part 5
Jill Stanek vs Obama and the mainstream media. The Media attention continues to mount..-"Speaking of the Providential Nurse (see New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection )herself, Jill Stanek will be busy in the media this election...This story is grabbing the attention of many mainstream media outlets but why not TV?....And the mainstream media that does grab the story grab it with an Obamasided bias as expected...Another Providence I can see in all this is the exposing of why Americans are continually seeing the mainstream media as bias with a liberal political slant. This story would make for a big story and maybe one of the networks will pick it up and even if they do are they just going to undermine it like the rest. Are they just going to rehash what is in the liberal mainstream media??!!! Imagine if this was Bush. For some reason I can just guess it would be all over!!!"
Part 6
Jill Stanek vs Obama. Introducing a new term, Obamaside. Have you ever been Obamasided? Let me explain...-"How Barack Obama Could Not Have Won the Democratic Nomination Without ABC, CBS and NBC...These are the key findings of the Media Research Center’s exhaustive analysis of ABC, CBS and NBC evening news coverage of Barack Obama — every story, every soundbite, every mention — from his first appearance on a network broadcast in May 2000 through the end of the Democratic primaries in June 2008, a total of 1,365 stories. MRC analysts found that the networks’ coverage — particularly prior to the formal start of Obama’s presidential campaign — bordered on giddy celebration of a political "rock star" rather than objective newsgathering."-See Full Report here with graphs and all. Thanks to the Media Obama is the next democrat presidential candidate as opposed to Clinton. This I have found to be a Providential God send. 1) It is allowing more discussion concerning media bias, 2) abortion is being brought to the spotlight thus unborn babies getting attention in the media and 3) this Born Alive Infant Protection Act issue with Obama would not be getting nearly as much air time and revelation of media bias if it weren't for Obama instead of Clinton on the stage. So this gives an opportunity to expose media bias which is a hurdle for the unborn and at the same time talk about the unborn in a most extraordinary way with the context being the Born Alive Infant Protection Act that I myself, didn't here about at all till this election season and until I started listening in to conservative news media. Please do for sure watch the last video on this page and pay close attention to what this nurse says as she describes a baby that survives an abortion. None of these discussions that is bringing much attention to the unborn and Obama's pro-abortion stand and media bias would not be going on if it weren't for the media's president of choice. Thank you media!!! For more on Obamaside see below...Obamaside-media that is one sided but in this case the one side is Obama's side. Example: mainstream media and ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS. First original context was in the discussion over Obama's reasoning for not voting on a bill to protect infants who survived an abortion when he and the media that sided with him responded first by calling his skeptics (those of the pro-life community) liars and then afterward when revising his position didn't acknowledge the truth of their claims and continued the same rhetoric and to top it off even claimed that he understands and respects his opponents point of view which clearly demonstrated Obama did neither. See below for further context..."
"So may the media and Obama be laid providentially exposed as they are attempting to persuade pro-life voters that there is improvement in the democrat party over this issue. The only respect that Obama has shown us is in words not in deed nor in apology over this issue. To respond to the democrat abortion platform being more pro-life then ever before let me comment that one of those statements in that platform include the right of a women to choose to abort despite financial situation. Where do you think that money to fund that abortion is going to come from? Obama's pocket or ours and Obama's? Sure Obama may be morally ok with this but are we? Does Obama really respect our views and understand our moral objection to this when Obama and democrats seek to force us to pay for abortions via Planned Parenthood and Health Insurance with our State and Federal Taxes? It's all lip service don't believe it for a moment!!!"
From Jill Stanek's site concerning the video that is on this blog of her being interviewd by Hannity: UPDATE, 8/22, 4a: One of Hannity's producers emailed me yesterday: "Just so you know we got a jump of 100,000 people in demo (ppl btw 25-45) during your segment, which is fantastic."
Part 7
Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama caught on tape arguing against giving medical attention to aborted babies... "But a pro-life sleuth has found a short audio clip on the Chicago Tribune website of Obama arguing on the IL Senate floor on April 4, 2002, against Senate Bill B1663, a companion bill to the Born Alive Infants Protection Act that would have required an abortionist to call a second physician to assess a baby aborted alive. Obama advocating infanticide audio mp3 Obama advocating infanticide audio wav Here is the Senate transcript to ensure the comment is heard in context...
Wright's connection to Christ Hospital. I first wrote about this in a WND column over a year ago: Did Wright influence Obama to oppose IL's Born Alive Infant Protection Act?"-Check out the 9 points she makes. Even if Wright didn't influence his decision one thing is clear that Obama's church is connected to the hospital in a big way as one of the members of that church was a CEO of the hospital during the time this was occurring and considering all 9 points mounted together. So now we have Obama's pastor and church all wrapped up together in this Born Alive Infant Protection Act. This has been another issue that has been most damaging for Obama that being his church and pastor!!!! Is God providentially speaking here? Who would have known if it weren't for the pro-life journalism of this conservative christian nurse speaking on behalf of "the least of these", the unborn? One thing I see here is that the mainstream media may be biased on this issue in not reporting it and when reporting it completely distorting it may actually may come back to haunt both their candidate and their own credibility by continuing not to report on it and when reporting on it completely distorting all because of the uglyness of this issue and when people actually do find out. Are the born alive babies providentially speaking to us from the utility rooms they were left to die in? Are they speaking up against media bias and the candidate that left them there that the media seems to be favouring? They have not been given a voice by many men and women in the media but this past week God has providentially given them a voice in answer to many a persons prayers. And so lastly, to top it off McCain has officially made this issue an issue in his campaign!!!!!...See his comments below....
In summary
Those born alive and left to die are bringing attention to the unborn and those killed while being partially born in God's good providence. McCain has officially made it an issue and if it were not for God's providence on 08/16/2008 with a christian broadcasting news company and a christian faith forum all of this would still be much under the radar. Now if the media doesn't report and report fairly then we have really good evidence for liberal media bias which is one of the biggest hurdles for the unborn and we have more attention despite the liberal media being given to the unborn and more credibility to conservative news sources on this issue which is one of the unborn's biggest supporters and all because Obama won the democrat primaries and not Clinton. So again is Obama a providential God send? You decide...
Also, could some in the liberal media rethink their position on Obama and their reporting and can this have an effect on the liberal media all because of the lack of information on this subject presented by the liberal media? Did they shoot themselves in the foot by not making this an issue and now that it is coming to be an issue that could destroy their own candidate and credibility even in the eyes of some of their own??!!
John McCain's Weekly Radio Address-"U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today released the text of John McCain's weekly radio address for tomorrow morning. The text and audio file are embargoed until tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. EDT. DOWNLOAD THE AUDIO FILE HERE: http://www.johnmccain.com/Downloads/082208_B.mp3...at what point, in my opponent's view, does a baby have human rights? Senator Obama thought about it for a moment, and came back with the reply that the question was, quote, "above my pay grade." Here was a candidate for the presidency of the United States, asked for his position on one of the central moral and legal questions of our time, and this was the best he could offer: It's above his pay grade. He went on to assure his interviewer that there is a, quote, "moral and ethical element to this issue." Americans expect more of their leaders....Listening to my opponent at Saddleback, you would never know that this is a politician who long since left behind any middle ground on the abortion issue. He is against parental notification laws, and against restrictions on taxpayer funding for abortions. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation to prevent the horrific practice of partial-birth abortion. Senator Obama opposed that bill, voting against it in committee and voting "present" on the Senate floor....In 2002, Congress unanimously passed a federal law to require medical care for babies who survive abortions -- living, breathing babies whom Senator Obama described as, quote, "previable." This merciful law was called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Illinois had a version of the same law, and Barack Obama voted against it. At Saddleback, he assured a reporter that he'd have voted "yes" on that bill if it had contained language similar to the federal version of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Even though the language of both the state and federal bills was identical, Senator Obama said people were, quote, "lying" about his record. When that record was later produced, he dropped the subject but didn't withdraw the slander. And now even Senator Obama's campaign has conceded that his claims and accusations were false. For a man who talks so often about "hope," Senator Obama doesn't offer much of it in meeting this great challenge to the conscience of America. His extreme advocacy in favor of partial birth abortion and his refusal to provide medical care for babies surviving abortion should be of grave concern to reasonable people of goodwill on both sides of this issue. There is a growing consensus in America that we need to overcome narrow partisanship on this issue for both women in need and the unborn."-Wow!!! These are some big time claims and I wonder what Obama and the mainstream media will do in reporting on these claims and answering them? Will it be a) nothing or b) report it with a bias that distorts the truth or c) allow the nurse an interview or allow it to be an issue period!!!! This story would make bucks for the networks as it has on the Hannity show so why aren't they grabbing at the opportunity to draw more listeners? On this issue it is not greed it is Obamaside.
P.S.- Actually McCain was wrong that the documents were provided after Obama said what he said. The documents were public 5 days before Obama said what he said and in the Chicago tribune the Obama campaign responded to the claims with an actual copy of the federal and state bill side by side showing the lack of wording in the state bill (which is a complete distortion of appearance that is in dispute and has been soundly refuted by the two documents provided that Obama has misrepresented but if this doesn't make sense then re-review Part 1 thru 7). Now maybe Obama didn't actually looked at the documents himself which is possible granting that he didn't deal with the actual claims at hand for whatever reason and yet still called his opponents speaking up for the unborn liars.
"Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets"-Psalm 141.9,10. Could it be that this principle in scripture is happening providentially before our very eyes and that the "snare" that the mainstream media "have laid for" the unborn is the very "net" that the mainstream media will "fall into". Or in otherwords their unwillingness to report on issues of abortion will be the very issue that destroys their credibility as mainstream!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I noticed on http://www.valuesvoternews.com/ that the page on my site called Obama and the Born Alive Infant Protection Act? has been the most accessed page and the most time spent on from people just doing a search on google or elsewhere on that subject (not from google or yahoo advertising or my emails). I got 8 hits in less then 24 hours on 06/26/2008 to the 27th and this is even after the fact that my web site has only been out there with less then a month at a time. Now I have yet to get any further inquires into that page but I moved it up to July to see if it makes any difference. But this was not my first page on the blog either at the time. So this issue of specifically the Born Alive Infant Protection Act may be of some controvesy along with other abortion concerns about Obama.
Obama on Abortion
Obama denies protection for infants of botched abortions-"Pro-life blogger Jill Stanek recently wrote a column for WorldNetDaily.com titled "Obama's biggest lie about supporting infanticide." She points out Obama actively opposed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act for three years in the Illinois senate. "He voted against it. He was the sole senator speaking against it on the [Illinois] senate floor [for] two years. And the third year, he held the bill from being considered altogether in committee and killed the bill," Stanek contends. She says Obama's explanation for opposing the Illinois bill does not pass the straight-face test because, as a committee chairman, he blocked the measure's sponsor from adding the federal language protecting Roe vs. Wade. That federal provision says the bill does not deny or add rights to the species Homo sapiens before birth. Stanek fought to stop "live-birth abortion" after holding a live aborted baby at a Chicago-area hospital where she worked as a registered nurse...."Barack Obama is now saying that, had that provision been in the Illinois bill he would have voted for it, which is absolutely false – because in 2003, the senate sponsor tried to add that provision and Barack Obama, as the chairman of the committee where the bill was being held, disallowed him from adding that provision, disallowed me from testifying, disallowed the committee from even voting on it. So, it sat in committee for 22 months," Stanek explains. She reveals it was not until Obama left the Illinois Senate that the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act passed in August of 2005."
Vote in an online poll: Do you find inconsistency in Barack Obama's professed Christian faith and his support for abortion on demand?- Yes or no. I bet you this will be one of the most lop sided and most voted on poll to date on this conservative news source web site!!!!
Christian Group Launches "Abortion President" Campaign against Barack Obama-"Senator Obama's views on abortion are so radical that he even wants American citizens to pay for them. This would include Catholics, Evangelicals and all people of faith. He would also expand abortion rights through his passionate support of The Freedom of Choice Act....Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan sent out the following statement: "Barack Obama understands that the best way to reduce the need for abortions is to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies. He is committed to commonsense solutions to achieve that objective and to changing the tone of the discourse which for too long has devolved into false and negative attacks such as this that do nothing to accomplish that goal"- It would be nice to point out the falsity of the attack please see Edwards, Obama Pledge Abortion Support (At the Planned Parenthood Action Fund presidential candidate forum earlier this week, the John Edwards and Barack Obama campaigns promised to include abortion coverage in their universal health care plans!!!). Obama would have us as most all democrats pay for abortion here and overseas. Secondly, it is negative as it should be. Thirdly, it is a partial birth abortion really the result of an unwanted pregnancy in the sense that he is speaking due to sexual promiscuity (see below).
Obama's Abortion Kerfuffle-"My only point is that in an area like partial-birth abortion having a mental, having a health exception can be defined rigorously. It can be defined through physical health, It can be defined by serious clinical mental-health diseases. It is not just a matter of feeling blue."- Obama. Oh yes the compassion of Obama and women during a PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION which is banned by the Supreme Court of the US and all other countries in this world!!! Are we not forever and always forgetting about the compassion that is forever and always missing toward the unborn human beings in these discussions???? There is no way Obama will get my faith based vote. No way. Unless he changes his view on this subject and others and make it public before all without dispute. I have actually prayed for that!!! Who knows!!!! He also says "historically I have been a strong believer in a women's right to choose with her doctor, her pastor and her family". Again how family of Obama!!! What advice to her daughters would Obama give in supporting his own daughters right to choose if "they make a mistake" that results in a pregnancy if we only took a speech he made some time ago into consideration.
Would he advise a) not to have an abortion thus reducing one abortion, b) to have the abortion if she chooses so because after all he is "a stong believer in a women's right to choose with her doctor, her pastor and" himself or c) MIT Pro-Life students vs Obamas' "moral" concern for his once unborn daughters and hearty empathetic Judges (scroll down to 2nd video). If the video doesn't work cause the last I checked it doesn't then just you tube "punished with a baby". You may also click here: Obama Says He Doesn't Want His Daughters Punished with a Baby for the answer which is c) "But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." Now I hope that Obama wouldn't give that advice or give such a view of the situation to his daughters. In one sense it is a consequence of a sexually promiscous action but never at the expense of that unborn babies life (TALK ABOUT AN UNJUST PUNISHMENT!!! What did he or she ever do???). If one concieve of a baby as a punishment for bad actions an individual makes how much more should that same one understand the punishment of the innocent, period. Let us turn the tables, flip the coin, butter the otherside of the pancake and throw syrup all over it and respond to Obama and throw the comments that he threw at the unborn child right back at him and say if "they make a mistake I don't want the innocent unborn child punished either"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What did he/she ever do? Talk about social uncompassionate injustice to its lowest stooping degree to the most innocent/voiceless/poorest/helpless members of all in our societies and yet today we violated their most basic right of all rights the RIGHT TO LIFE. And then to hear Obama speak as he does attempting to belittle the concerns of those for the unborn by claiming he wants to only reduce abortions with no talk about the unborn at all, to some of us it makes us not fee so well (PC for sick)....But I will still pray for him no matter what!!!

The Recent 2nd Amendment Gun Law Decision (Obama vs McCain) and the testimony of the Roe of Roe vs Wade and The Call to Repent America
Labels: Arguments in favour of Christ, Liberal Media Bias, Marriage Amendments, Pro-Life, Second Amendment, U.S. President BushThanks to Bush appointed Judges: 5 Judges rule in favour of 2nd Amendment to 4 dissenting Judges.-"Justice Antonin Scalia's majority opinion is a textbook example of constitutional originalism....D.C. had either the first or second highest murder rate among the nation's 50 largest cities. A National Academy of Sciences report based on 253 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government publications and a survey of 80 different gun-control laws, shows no link between restrictions on gun ownership and lower rates of crime, firearms violence or even accidents with guns...Justice Scalia's opinion is exemplary for the way it was reasoned. It will be studied by law professors and students for years to come. It is the clearest, most careful interpretation of the meaning of the Constitution ever to be adopted by a majority of the Supreme Court . . .Justice Scalia's opinion is the finest example of what is now called "original public meaning" jurisprudence ever adopted by the Supreme Court." "Flip flop or not? Does Obama support the DC Handgun Law as constitutional or does he not?"-See the video and you be the judge. I honestly can't tell for sure. One instance he says he supports the ban as constitutional and the next he doesn't but his explanation is a little confusing so who knows. To me either its a 2nd amendment right or not. But I honestly don't know the issues well enough so for those of you who do you be the judge if it interests you!!! By contrast, however, it is pretty clear where McCain stands. This to me is not a big issue except when it comes to how judges will understand the constitution and it sounds like Scalia and the majority court is in my boat of understanding what the constitution meant in the context of the times in which it was created and then to apply those intentions to life of today but never to change the meaning of those intentions because of the times of today. If one wishes to change the constitution for todays society one should AMEND IT not reinterpret nor redefine it!!! If we redefine or reinterpret it to meet todays "demands" then really how constitutional is the constitution from one day to the next and back!!!
Morning Shows Give a Combined 3.5 Minutes to Historic Gun Ruling-"Despite the "historic" nature of Thursday's Supreme Court ruling that the Second Amendment is an individual right, all three morning shows on Friday virtually ignored the decision, devoting a combined total of three minutes and 33 seconds to the story. Jesus, Texas, Kansas, Colorado and Roe vs Obamas' radical extremism against the unborn: "the most radical president ever when it comes to abortion."-See how the lawyers treated the "victim" in this case according to the "victim" herself. Contrast her Values with those of Obama. Also, note the forgiveness she received in Christ as she gives in her official testimony in 2005 to the US Senate and calls on Senators to repent she says, "We have to turn from our wicked ways. Senators, I urge you to examine your own conscience before Almighty God. God is willing and able to forgive you. He sent His own son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins as Roe of Roe v. Wade, and for our sins in failing to act to end abortion and to truly help women in crisis pregnancies. I finally asked the Lord Jesus to forgive me in 1995"-And does this apply to us voters. Are we not the ones who have accepted this practice by electing the Senators and presidents that have been endorsed by the strongest abortion rights activists. Is not the media and hollywood and documentarist also just as much at fault for not making the American public aware of such issues and making it less of an issue then the Mary Magdalena of Jesus? I hear Obama says that he agrees that abortion is wrong but not to be imposed on others and then he says he doesn't want his daughters to be punished with a baby if they make a mistake and then he says fatherhood starts at conception and then he says he wants to only reduce aborted sons from conception and not eliminate it. My head is dizzy with contradictions. Bottom line he is for the destruction of newly formed human beings in the womb of a mother and it is obvious by who endorses him. I would just like to ask Obama to apply his belief that he is not to impose his beliefs concerning abortions on the choice of a woman (namely that it is murder) and thus we should not take the Pro-Life position in politics but let the women decide for themselves thus the Pro-Choice position in politics. Take that same view and apply it to those of the civil rights movement or abolitionist of slavery and the slave trade or any other autrocity that has been overcome in times past by men and women standing on principle like the holocaust inspite of others beliefs. Let Obama argue with William Wilberforce in Parliament. William says: "we need to end the slave trade it is an abomination" and Obama responds: "yes it is an abomination but we can't impose our beliefs on others". The only reason why one would make such an argument is because they knowingly or unknowingly consider the slave or unborn child as less than human. Obamas' position is an imposing of a belief on a human life to a point beyond slavery (death) in the name of not imposing my views on others on this politic. Thus Obama is self refuting when it comes to his position on abortion in politics and if this is how he treats this most grave and serious issue of human life then I don't care how good his "plan for america is" it is death to the unborn just as much as any slave abolitionist would not cast a vote for such treatment of humans as less then human. And how can God bless us if we are destroying lives in the name of choice. Now maybe I am misrepresenting Obamas' position and reasoning here. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong if there are any Obama fans out there.
Here is Sandra Cano 2 video minute testimony (if the link doesn't pull up click www.operationoutcry.org and you can find it near the bottom) before the senate in 2005. Sandra is the Doe in Doe vs Bolton which was a companion case with Roe vs Wade.
Supremes to reconsider landmark abortion case Plaintiff in Doe v. Bolton case says ACLU attorney pushed her to have abortion-"The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to reconsider next week its landmark 1973 Doe vs. Bolton abortion decision, in response to a lawsuit brought by the case's original plaintiff, who claims she was pressured by ACLU attorneys to opt for abortion and that the case was based on fraud. Like Norma McCorvey, the original "Jane Roe" of Roe v. Wade, Sandra Cano was "Mary Doe" of 1973's other historic abortion decision. Together, "Roe" and "Doe" eliminated all state laws prohibiting abortion and legalized abortion. Cano's case in particular – because of the "health exception" for the mother it created – opened the door to abortion on demand, for virtually any reason, at any stage of pregnancy up to the moment of birth....Cano, who at the time of the case was a pregnant, 22-year-old wife of an abusive husband and all three of her children in foster care, was just looking for a way to get her children back and leave her husband, she says. At no time was she interested in abortion, she adds, but insists she was pressured toward abortion by an aggressive ACLU attorney...U.S. abortion laws was based on fraud and lies coordinated by Margie Pitts Hames, Cano's ACLU attorney...Saying her mother and Hames tried to force her to have an abortion, Cano says she fled to Oklahoma and returned only when she was sure she was assured that she wouldn't have to have the abortion. She was told not to speak in court, Cano adds."-Many more good links below this story for further understanding from the Pro-Life point of view.
Repent America
This sites may be offensive and is pretty strongly worded at times as you dig deeper. So I just forewarn you all now. It is a decent resource and a good biblical argument for why we should repent there are 2 options to enter the site. One for the christian and one for the non-christian.
www.repentamerica.com- "Repent v. To turn away from sin. to sorrow or be pained for violating God's holy law, a dishonour to His character and government, and the foulist ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence."
And while we are at it another strongly worded article:
THE JESUS MANIFESTO: A CALL TO REVOLUTION-"Forty years ago, a counterculture revolution swept through America, resulting in a sudden, steep moral decline. Since that time (from the early '60s until today), the divorce rate has doubled, the teen suicide rate has tripled, reported violent crime has quadrupled, the prison population has quintupled, the percentage of babies born out of wedlock has risen six-fold, and couples living together out of wedlock has risen sevenfold. And the end is not in sight. The last generation's counterculture of rebellion has become this generation's establishment of revulsion, and what was unthinkable forty years ago – daytime talk shows celebrating adultery and incest; homosexual love scenes on major network TV; eleven year-old multiple murderers; massacres in our schools and houses of worship – is a matter of course today. We need a revolution! But this revolution will be different than other revolutions – including the revolution that birthed our nation more than 200 years ago. This revolution will not be fought with earthly weapons of destruction – not with guns and knives and bullets and bombs. It will not be fought with hatred, anger, intimidation, or brute force. No. It will be fought with the message of the gospel, with the love of God, with the power of the Spirit, with radical holiness, with sacrifice, compassion, and courage. It will be a Jesus revolution, an intense clash between two spiritual kingdoms, a heavenly attack on the enemy's strongholds, a no compromise stand for morality and truth. And it will impact society in a lasting way. It must!"
