Economy

The other side of the story that Big Media doesn't share with you. Find out what you may be missing to help voters have a more balanced view then putting all the blame solely on Bush and the private sector....

The Economy and what Big Media is not telling you...-Let's go back a "1999 New York Times article." entitled "Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending"-"Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders. The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring. Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits."..."In July, the Department of Housing and Urban Development proposed that by the year 2001, 50 percent of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's portfolio be made up of loans to low and moderate-income borrowers. Last year, 44 percent of the loans Fannie Mae purchased were from these groups."

Now onto an article just recently published by the from the Boston Globe

Frank's fingerprints are all over the financial fiasco-"'THE PRIVATE SECTOR got us into this mess. The government has to get us out of it."That's Barney Frank's story, and he's sticking to it. As the Massachusetts Democrat has explained it in recent days...The roots of this crisis go back to the Carter administration. That was when government officials, egged on by left-wing activists, began accusing mortgage lenders of racism...The pressure to make more loans to minorities (read: to borrowers with weak credit histories) became relentless. Congress passed the Community Reinvestment Act, empowering regulators to punish banks that failed to "meet the credit needs" of "low-income, minority, and distressed neighborhoods." Lenders responded by loosening their underwriting standards and making increasingly shoddy loans...."Lack of credit history should not be seen as a negative factor," the Fed's guidelines instructed. Lenders were directed to accept welfare payments and unemployment benefits as "valid income sources" to qualify for a mortgage. Failure to comply could mean a lawsuit...Frank blithely declares: "The private sector got us into this mess." Well, give the congressman points for gall. Wall Street and private lenders have plenty to answer for, but it was Washington and the political class that derailed this train. If Frank is looking for a culprit to blame, he can find one suspect in the nearest mirror."

Obama's connection with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ignored in Big Media. The Fact that Bush tried to reform Freddie and Fannie ignored in Big Media.-"In 2003, the Bush administration tried to stop the runaway train of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and Republicans controlled both chambers of Congress. Democrats alone didn’t stop this. No one filibustered the Bush administration’s bill in the Senate; it didn’t have the votes to pass anyway. Likewise in 2006, when Chuck Hagel, John McCain, John Sununu, and Elizabeth Dole attempted to fix Fannie and Freddie, Republicans controlled Congress and did nothing to pass this bill. Democrats blocked it, but without some help from Republicans, both efforts would have passed easily. This is not just a Democratic or a Republican party problem at this point, it's everyone's problem."-There is an interesting.

"the TV news media that practically ignored mounting problems – including accounting scandals – at Fannie Mae and her brother Freddie Mac until it was too late."

"prior to this year, the watchdogs at ABC, CBS and NBC found time for only 10 stories on the financial health and management of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."

"As if blaming deregulation wasn’t enough, The New York Times online attacked Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., on Sept. 24 for ties to Freddie Mac, but glossed over Sen. Barack Obama’s, D-Ill., connection to Fannie and Freddie. And never mind Barney Frank’s (see related story). The Times story buried campaign contribution figures for both candidates until the very last paragraph of the 1,401 word story. According to the article, since 2004 “Senator Obama has received about $126,000 in contributions from employees of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, while Senator McCain, over the last decade, has received about $22,000, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.”Obama was the number 2 recipient of contributions from Fannie and Freddie, compared to McCain’s 62 – but the Times didn’t mention that."

"Actually, a little -- two years ago, I warned that the oversight of Fannie and Freddie was, was terrible, that we were facing a crisis because of it, or certainly serious problems"-McCain..."In fact, it was Democrats who blocked Bush administration proposals to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2003. 2003 New York Times article that detailed efforts by Democrats to block reforms: query.nytimes.com"

"In 2004, as The Wall Street Journal declared Fannie Mae was “cooking the books” to the tune of $11 billion dollars, ABC, CBS and NBC were almost silent."

And much more that Big Media is censoring at the expense of the Republican Party which then is at the expense of the unborn, Biblical Traditonal Family Values and religious liberties which then will be at the expense of God's blessings. There is much more like under Bush's tax cuts the rich ended up paying more percentage of the over tax pool. That even though Bush's tax cuts cut taxes for all it ended up that the rich paid higher percentages then others before Bush's tax cuts under Clinton. Something that is obviously missing in Big Media. Just because Bush's tax cuts did give cuts to the rich doesn't mean that the rich are paying less by percentage of all the taxes but rather more then before which goes to show that the Democrat and Big Media painting of Republican's is not exactly on the mark.

Pro-Life vs Obama

Obama's abortion reduction plan in doubt. The Roe vs Wade of Europe and thousands of women are having abortion but no one is talking in the UK.-"Obama said at the Saddleback forum-"The fact is that although we have had a president who is opposed to abortion over the last eight years, abortions have not gone down and that is something we have to address."

Is this true? Pro-lifers already knew this to be false cause this is something we have been excited about since months ago thanks not to Big Media but Conservative Media that abortions have dropped during Bush's presidency and others including Clinton's. But have dropped to a 30 year record low during the Bush presidency but are still astronomically high considering that a child is not a child the moments he/she passes thru the pelvic but are as much a child the day before and the day before that and then before that and so on....This is not above anybodies pay grade even a child could determine a baby is as much alive the day before and months before birth as a baby is afterwards....

Factcheck update

U.S. Abortion Rate at 30-Year Low-"new study reveals abortion rates fell 33 percent in the U.S. over the last 30 years. But the report also reveals there are still significant differences among populations as to who gets an abortion. The Guttmacher Institute's study says while abortions and pregnancies among teenagers has dropped 50 percent, abortion rates are still high among older women with children and poor women. Abortion rates also differed dramatically between racial and economic groups. While abortions did decrease among white women, it did not for those of Latin or African-American descent. Click the play button for comments from Day Gardner of the National Black Pro-Life Union."

U.S. ABORTION RATE CONTINUES LONG-TERM DECLINE, FALLING TO LOWEST LEVEL SINCE 1974; MORE EFFORT STILL NEEDED TO REDUCE UNINTENDED PREGNANCY-Showing the release of this report back in January of 2008 to be published and then published in March of 2008. So Obama had no excuse for his comments!!!

This is done by a pro-Planned Parenthood in philosophy group so there is no pro-life bias here as is evidence by their philosophy. Check into it for yourself.

Sadly, one thing that this study does not indicate is the effectiveness of many pro-life policies that have helped reduce abortions that if Obama becomes president would override everyone by signing into law FOCA.

125,000 more abortions per year under proposed “Freedom of Choice Act”-"With so much attention on the economy, one area of federal legislation that can be overlooked is abortion. An old and dangerous bill that will increase abortions by an enormous amount is being resurrected by abortion advocates: the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). H.R. 1964 and S.1173.FOCA is usually reported as “codifying Roe v. Wade,” but it is much more. Since the Webster and Casey decisions in 1989 and 1992, the Supreme Court has allowed states to limit abortion somewhat by such things as requiring parental involvement and informed consent, prohibiting government funding of most abortion, and more recently outlawing most partial birth abortions. But FOCA tolerates none of this. Advocates and opponents of FOCA all agree that the bill would nullify every legal limit on abortion, state, federal or otherwise. Americans United for Life, as well as the Family Research Council, explain this fact in great detail. Abortion advocates who want FOCA concur: NOW, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and FOCA sponsor Senator Barbara Boxer all contend that FOCA will strike down all state pro-life laws....CHART (pdf): Combined Reduction in Abortions from State Laws on Parental Involvement, Informed Consent, and Abortion Funding Restrictions...Specifically, if FOCA is passed it will increase abortions by 125,000 more per year in the United States. Since 2004, Dr. Michael New has published studies with the Heritage Foundation showing that a large reduction in abortions can be attributed to these three kinds of laws."

Bush vs Obama on Dr's conscience rights-"So we don't protect a baby who survives an abortion, nor are we to allow parental involvement and now Physicians, Dr's and Health Workers are forced to go against their conscience and encourage what to them is the taking of an innocent human life?!!? These Roe vs Wade defenders are extending Roe vs Wade over parental rights, born alive infant rights, conscience rights, all at the favoring of a women's right to choose at the expense of an unborn child's right to life."-If this is how important a women's right to choose is and Roe vs Wade is then something has gone astray and it sure ain't the innocent life inside of the womb!!!!

And lastly in this blog don't miss the The Roe vs Wade of Europe

Eduardo Verastegui and the unborn vs Obama and YouTube when it comes to the Hispanic pro-life values voters-Star actor in Bella makes a youtube video with an edited and unedited version. Unedited version is yanked from YouTube. It's all in spanish directed to the hispanic values voter to basically not vote for Obama because of the issue of the unborn. If you find these videos distasteful cause it exploits the life ending abuse of the unborn just consider that in times past like the holocaust or the abuses of the slave trade that sometimes its necessary to exploit these things for what they really are in detail for the sake of factual persuasion of others to end these atrcoties. It is one thing that abortion occurs in the context of saving a life of the mother if both are going to die or something like that but it is quite another that babies are treated this way for convenience sake. Abortion should be banned in almost all cases except life saving situations. And an argument could be made that a mother should protect her child's life even if at the expense of her own. Not that this would be an easy decision to make but clearly the more loving thing to do. I think many mothers and fathers would gladly give their lives for the sake of their children and I don't see why this same love can't be extended into the womb. And lastly, we have all sinned and all need forgiveness. Abortion is not the unforgivable sin. King David was forgiven for murdering the husband of the wife that he committed adultery with. Paul was forgiven for persecuting God's own people and many many other examples of great forgiveness in the scriptures. So this is not at all a condemning message. Sure without forgiveness it is but thank God that in Christ when sin is revealed to us we can apologize and receive forgiveness cause unlike any other religion in the world God actually paid the price for our sin and so that price is perfectly satisfied and thus forgiveness can be perfectly given and confidently received because it relies ultimately on His perfect act as opposed to our already imperfect acts. So bear that in mind if you have committed abortion. There is perfect forgiveness in Christ like no other.

Entertainment

Fireproof

Update on Fireproof movie in theatres. On its first weekend it grossed in at number 4 despite being in only 840 or so theatres. My wife and I saw it and it is excellent. One of our top ten movies. A must see for all. You will be in tears but a good kind of tear. No typical hollywood believe in yourselfism nonsense. A man is a good man only because somebody outside of that man has touched that man (what self pride killer of a movie). But it's much more then that. Just a great movie. Must see. Down to earth non hollywoodized relationships, down to earth conversations with down to earth real people which compliments its down to earth production and cost of the movie. A movie that will relate to the common man and woman going thru a common problem of selfishness, pride, etc etc with the real solution and answer. The movie cost $500,000 to make and has brought in its first week almost 10 million dollars.

A must see http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/. Wow!!!

An American Carol

http://americancarol.com/-also in theatres now...."An American Carol is a 2008 American comedy film, directed by David Zucker and starring Kevin Farley. Presented from a conservative perspective, the film "lampoons contemporary American culture, particularly Hollywood."[2] It uses the framework of A Christmas Carol but moves the setting of the story from Christmas to Independence Day. It is written by Myrna Sokoloff and Zucker. The supporting cast includes Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, Dennis Hopper, Trace Adkins, Jillian Murray and Leslie Nielsen. [3] The film was released on October 3, 2008."-Wikipedia

Come What May

On DVD. Eduardo Verastegui and the unborn vs Obama and YouTube when it comes to the Hispanic pro-life values voters-"Advent Film Group (AFG) produced the movie in association with Patrick Henry College, a true-to-life powerhouse in collegiate debate and moot court competition. PHC, founded eight years ago, enrolling only 300 students, has won the Moot Court National Championship twice and has beaten Oxford in England and again in Richmond, VA. The movie's legal argument is solid."

"Come what may"-Trailers and clips. An interestingly simple argument in favor of the unborn is presented in one of the clips of the movie. Something to this effect: When is a baby alive? And one answers when a human is born. Then was the baby alive a day before he/she was born? And the obvious answer to even a child would be of course. So then how many days back from birth is a baby alive and so on, ultimately to conception. So then the argument ends with, is there a day in which we are considered to be alive and that moment only happens at one point in our life and that is at the moment of conception.

Eduardo Verastegui and the unborn vs Obama and YouTube when it comes to the Hispanic pro-life values voters-"Actor in Bella speaks out on the issue of abortion against Obama. This is in spanish directed toward Hispanic values voter who are largely pro-life. If you have yet to see Bella it is a must buy or rent. See http://www.bellamoviesite.com/ "#1 top rated film by New York Times reader poll, Yahoo and Fandango." If you didn't know about this film blame Big Media and Hollywood for not picking up on this film as much as the polls did." Star actor in Bella speaks out against abortion and Obama for supporting abortion. On this blog see edited and unedited spanish only versions of star actor in this movie. See above for more details but if you haven't seen Bella rent it or buy it. It is another good relational movie. Down to earth and relatable to everyday people.

I am sending next week's email out today because there are two important events that you may not be aware of being videod on the internet on Saturday the 16th.

McCain vs Obama at Civic Forum at Saddleback Church

Big Saturday coming up tomorrow. Online broadcasts of McCain and Obama at a Civil Forum on The Presidency and The Call.-You can play video advertising The Call event which I emailed on in an earlier post at The Recent 2nd Amendment Gun Law Decision (Obama vs McCain) and the testimony of the Roe of Roe vs Wade and The Call to Repent America. The Civic Forum with McCain and Obama will be a "historic forum...the only joint event for the two, and the last public appearance for either candidate prior to the two-week hiatus during each party’s national convention"

Also, on that blog is a report of another one of the top "20 events most crucial in determining the next president" the Values Voter Summit on September 12-14. Check it out for more information.

Also, an interesting note conerning Independent Joseph Lieberman comments concerning McCain and Obama as far as their ability to unite Dems and Reps and work in a by partisan way. The media plays off Obama as being that uniter of the parties when historically and comparing voter records McCain is far more in the middle than Obama on many more issues then Obama is. According to Independent Lieberman anyways.

Also, on the blog are reports of some evangelical and catholic leaders promoting a vote for Obama because of new stance on abortion at the Democrat National Convention Party Platform. As if this makes Obama pro-life in any sense of the normal understanding of what it means to be pro-life. If it is true that these religious leaders are saying what some claim they are saying then it is clear that these religious leaders are bearing false witness in the name of politics and at the expense of lives of millions of unborn (so you have another violation of the ten commandments being committed by these religious advisers). McCain on this issue, when people aren't confused on the subject by religious leaders of the above likes, wins hands down vs Obama (see Media's no emphasis of abortion as an issue hurting McCain and helping Obama/Obama on Fatherhood/The Physiology of Motherhood/Bush vs Clinton ). I have yet to give my vote to McCain as I am holding out to see who his VP will be but this issue is one of the main reasons why I am willing vote for McCain.

9 Religious Freedom victories!!!

Seven 1st Amendment court victories!!! And two victories for religious freedom handled out of court this past 2 weeks or so see Testimony of Obama Democrat Presidential Nominee for 1 court victory and one out of court victory and see Washington Post Demonizes Conservatives, guess what the media completely missed once again and seven 1st Amendment Supreme Court Victories!!! for the other seven court victories. Notice that one of these cases was vs. the ACLU of Ohio and check this out: "The ACLU charged that Judge DeWeese's display of the poster – which graphically compares and contrasts the Ten Commandments with Seven Humanist Principles – violated a 2002 injunction barring him from displaying a poster consisting solely of the Ten Commandments under the caption “Rule of Law.”...But U.S. District Court Judge Kathleen O'Malley, the same judge who issued the 2002 injunction, disagreed." So the same judge that issued the injunction was the judge ruling on this case and the ACLU lost and check what that judge said in her ruling that the ACLU suit was "misplace". Here is an excellent video report and the poster that got the Judge in trouble here. Wow!!!!

The White House complains of Media Bias and has video to prove it

Ever wonder why the Republican party is more scandalous then the Democrat party? And The White House vs NBC with the video to prove it.-"New York Times fails to mention Democrat Party in story of Racism and Anti-Semitism...ABC, CBS and NBC fails to mention party affiliation when it comes to nasty Democrats but always for nasty Republicans." And in case you saw this interview with no apology from NBC in its edited biased version check out this letter from the White House to NBC: "This e-mail is to formally request that NBC Nightly News and The Today Show air for their viewers President Bush's actual answer to correspondent Richard Engel's question about Iran policy and "appeasement," rather than the deceptively edited version of the President's answer that was aired last night on the Nightly News and this morning on The Today Show....To View The Edited Version Of NBC News' Interview, Click Here To View The Full Interview Of The President, Click Here""

Media Bias Bigger Problem then Campaign cash!!!???

What can be more concerning then campaign financing?-That which is the continual finding in poll after poll. Rasmussen: '55% Say Media Bias Bigger Problem than Campaign Cash'
55% Say Media Bias Bigger Problem Than Campaign Cash-Here is actual report on Rasmussen.com and note these comments: "Voters overwhelmingly believe that politicians will “break the rules to help people who give them a lot of money,” but most say there’s a bigger problem in politics today—media bias." Despite the fact that, "People believe media bias is a bigger problem even though 63% believe most politicians will break the rules to help campaign contributors. Just 14% believe most politicians would refrain from breaking the rules for a donor." And check this out: "Just 22% believe it would be a good idea to ban all campaign commercials so that voters could receive information on the campaign only from the news media and the internet. Sixty-six percent (66%) disagree and think that, despite the annoyance factor, it’s better to put up with an election-year barrage of advertising rather than rely on the news media." and lastly, "An earlier survey found that 49% believe most reporters are trying to help Barack Obama win the election this year. Just 14% believe they’re trying to help McCain. Another survey found that the news you watch says a lot about how you will vote." And guess who complained the most about media bias, "Not surprisingly, Republicans are the most likely to see media bias as the bigger problem. Eighty-one percent (81%) of the GOP faithful hold that view. Democrats and unaffiliated voters are more evenly divided. Obama’s Party, by a narrow 50% to 41% margin, say that campaign cash is the bigger issue. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 47% say media bias is the problem while 43% hold the opposite view. Fifty-three percent (53%) of liberals see campaign contributions as a bigger problem than media bias. Seventy-four percent (74%) of conservatives hold the opposite view. Among the moderates, 49% say media bias is the problem while 42% disagree." Very interesting findings. And the democrats want to make the media more bias by installing the Fairness Doctrine. See below

FCC Commissioner: Return of Fairness Doctrine Could Control Web Content-Is it not interesting that though the American people continue to complain in poll after poll about media bias Nancy Pelosi is more concerned about talk radio. How about a Fairness Doctrine on NBC, ABC, PBS and CBS in issue selection!!!!!???? I believe the reason why internet, cable and talk radio do so well is because people feel they can get information on issues that is largely missing on the networks like the issues of religious freedom (plesae note above), marriage laws, academic freedom, abortion issues, and traditional family values. I know this to be true for me. All I notice on ABC, CBS, PBS and NBC is candy stories of documentaries that include christians but without the meat of issues like abortion, religious freedoms, and all the above etc etc. In other words on issues that effect voters the stories that would favour a conservative religious point of view are not aired but so long as the story is on an issue that has nothing to do with politics they will air it!!!! This in no way satisfies me when it comes to media bias in the context of political media bias!!!

Pro-Life Issues and Salvation call for most all of us

APA Claims Abortion Doesn't Affect Mental Health of Women-"Life advocates say the needs of millions of women are not addressed in this report. After two years of study, a panel of the American Psychological Association (APA) concluded today that having one abortion does not cause significant mental-health problems for women. Priscilla Coleman, a researcher at Bowling Green State University, came to a different conclusion in her studies. She found that between 10 percent and 20 percent of women who have abortions experience prolonged mental-health problems. "We're not doing women any favors by hiding this," she told the Wall Street Journal. Carrie Gordon Earll, senior bioethics analyst at Focus on the Family Action, said the APA buried the real news. “The report basically admits that if you’ve had multiple abortions, your risk for mental-health problems may be greater," she said. ”If you've been pressured or coerced into an abortion, you may have an even more negative experience." Sixty percent of abortions are either repeat abortions or those in which the women are pressured to have one. "That’s millions of women whose needs and psychological problems are not represented in this report," Earll said. "The APA is spinning the results to their desired political conclusion, which is that they want to keep abortion legal and promoted in the culture.” The report also found that many of the more than 150 studies it reviewed had major flaws, and it called for better-designed studies. FOR MORE INFORMATIONFocus on the Family offers help to women who have had an abortion."

See below for contrast and resource for contrast

New Web Site Clearinghouse Features Info on Abortion's Risks, Complications-"An organization that is one of the leading research institutions on the physical, medical and mental health problems women face after abortion has launched a new web site to serve as a clearinghouse for post-abortion information. The Elliot Institute has launched AbortionRisks.org, to keep track of problems. The web site will not only provide a wealth of information on post-abortion complications, but will allow women who have experienced problems a chance to share those. AbortionRisks.org is a Web 2.0 site designed to allow anyone in the world to find or contribute information. Using the same software platform that underlies popular web sites like Wikipedia, AbortionRisks.org allows registered users to add their own information and pages to the site, as well as to edit information that is already there. The site will include sections for post-abortion ministries to add information about their work and provides space for women and men who have been involved in an abortion to post their stories. The web site will also house the Thomas W. Strahan Memorial Library, an extensive bibliography of published studies, books, and articles on the aftereffects of abortion. Tom Strahan was a lawyer and civil rights activist widely considered to the one of the world's foremost authorities on abortion and how it damages women. His bibliography was published in the form of a book, Detrimental Effects of Abortion, which is now a featured section of AbortionRisks.org and is available for reference by visitors and for updating by the contributing editors of the new web site. In a statement the Elliot Institute sent LifeNews.com, the organization called on pro-life advocates to help as volunteer editors to help improve site organization and monitor it for abuse form abortion advocates. Anyone interested in helping build and maintain the site can go to www.AbortionRisks.org to create a free account."

What does premarital sex, pollution, birth and population control have to do with abortion?

New York City Has Extremely High Abortion Rate Despite Free Birth Control-"If there is any place in the nation women can get free or low-cost birth control, it's New York City. But a new report indicates the abortion rate in the nation's largest city is three times higher than the national average despite the easy access to birth control and contraception. While a survey from the Alan Guttmacher Institute, a part of Planned Parenthood, shows fewer than 20 percent of all pregnancies nationwide end in abortion, 72 pregnancies end in abortion in New York for every 100 births. More than 250 abortions are done every day in New York City at more than 200 locations, including abortion businesses and private doctor's offices. New figures reported in the Crain's business journal show 90,157 were done in New York in 2006 -- which the business journal admitted showed "women are using abortion as their birth control method of choice."...Amazingly, Deborah Kaplan, deputy commissioner of the city Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, told the business journal that the answer to the problem is more access to birth control. “To me, the problem is access," she said. “If we improved access to contraceptives, there would be a reduction in abortion." Meanwhile, the taxpayer-funding of abortions on both the state and city level is draining tax dollars that could be used for education, police or other services. Abortions cost the state of New York $16 million in Medicaid dollars every year and city taxpayers pay even more through the New York policy that provides free abortions to poor women at public facilities...The Crain's report also indicates that New York's high abortion numbers have changed in that they no longer show women from across the northeast going there for abortions. Now, 93 percent of the abortions done in New York City are on local residents."-See New York Health Department admits abstinece is best and condomns even if used "correctly and consistently" only "help reduce the chance of infection".

Forget Marriage: Adultery and Promiscuity Rule the Airwaves-"New study shows broadcast television promotes sex in every relationship except marriage....Prime time television is positively full of sex, as long as it is outside the context of marriage. That is the primary finding of a new report from the Parents Television Council (PTC). The report, “Happily Never After: How Hollywood Favors Adultery and Promiscuity over Marital Intimacy on Prime Time Broadcast Television” documents that when it comes to sex, broadcast networks are marginalizing marriage while glorifying non-marital intimacy. Further, behaviors that were once taboo-for-TV are now found all across the broadcast networks and often during the Family Hour, when more children are in the viewing audience. PTC analysts reviewed 207.5 hours of prime time broadcast programming on five networks during a four-week period in the fall of 2007. The analysis found that verbal references to non-marital sex outnumbered references to sex in the context of marriage by nearly 3 to 1, and scenes depicting or implying sex between non-married partners outnumbered similar scenes between married couples by a ratio of nearly 4 to 1....There are many disturbing findings in the report, but two that stand out are:

· The Family Hour (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. at which time more children are in the viewing audience) contained the highest frequency of references to non-married sex. Family Hour references to non-marital sex outnumbered references to sex in marriage by a ratio of 3.9 to 1. During the 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm hours, the references to non-marital versus marital sex averaged 2.5 to 1.

· Most programs either lacked or had inadequate content descriptors, which are intended to alert parents to inappropriate content and work in conjunction with the V-Chip to block content that parents may find unsuitable for their children. For example, on ABC, 38 percent of programs airing during the Family Hour that contained sexual content did not receive the “S” descriptor and during the 9:00 pm hour, 71 percent of programs containing sexual dialogue did not carry a “D” descriptor. Every network had problems with the consistent application of “S” and/or “D” descriptors during every time slot.

The full report (click here) also contains important information about media influence on the behavior of children. Among the most interesting references:

· As far back as 1996 children have reported that the media encourage them to have sex.

· 89 percent of American parents believe the media contribute to children engaging in sexual activity at earlier ages.

· A 2006 study by the University of North Carolina shows a link between sexually-charged media and earlier sexual activity among teens.

· Researchers have found that teens exposed to high levels of sex in the media are likely to become sexually active earlier in life and were 2.2 times more likely to have had intercourse between the ages of 14 and 16.

· There is a positive correlation between early sexual activity and depression and attempted suicide."-Media like this can only help increase the rise in teen pregnancy and thus the rise in abortions. Unbiblical values have civil and social consequences. Ask yourself does this kind of media help reduce or increase abortion rates? If it does help to increase even by not helping to decrease abortion rates then are we not as a viewing audience somewhat responsible for the women and babies hurt by such ungodly media when we support it!!! God help us all on the day of judgment. I see know way of getting around our own disobedience to God. If Jesus said that to look with lust after a women is adultery in the heart then why are we supporting such sinfulness on our TV and DVD players. Jesus has good reason why we should not do what He doesn't want us to do. If population is indeed a problem may it be that the root of the problem is disobedience to Christ and never add sin to sin by population control methods like abortion. If we want less pollution in the air and less pollution in our waters and less this or that that some believe is a consequence of to many humans in the world then should we not control the population in a Godly humane and civil sort of way. We must repent at this most basic level to save our own souls and the physical lives of millions more. Sinful sexual appetites will only produce more sinful sexual appetites which will only lead to more of what we have today in the world. Why don't we instead of inforcing a right for a woman to end a human life on that unborn life instead inforce a more civil and humane law like forbidding premarital sex and thus discourage and frown upon a hollywood that encourages such behavior which in turn encourages over population and mass murdering of unborn children!!! This may sound radical but at least one of the two laws has a civil morale to it and may actually do society a whole lot of good in a more self-controlled humane and civil sort of way!!!!

I did want to say that I am as guilty as anyone else on this issue so I am not coming to anybody without some fingers pointing back at me that is one of the many reasons why I am trusting Christ to save me on the day of judgment. I don't want to be found without His cleansing sacrifice of love on the cross for me before God. There are probabily ample more consequences to my sins then I have yet to discover and all at root because of my unwillingness to have a little faith and take God at His Word and act accordingly.-God says in His Word, "...a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him."-Matthew 17:5. May we all hear Him with a little more faith!!!

NBC Drops the Ball on Teen Sex-"The followup special for The Baby Borrowers fails to tackle tough subjects in discussions of teen sexuality and pregnancy....NBC first dropped the ball in a discussion of abstinence. One of the biggest criticisms of the The Baby Borrowers was that it sent a mixed message. On one hand, it claimed to show teens how difficult parenting is, but on the other hand it essentially condoned premarital sex by allowing the unsupervised teen couples to share beds during the series. Kotb confirmed that none of the teen couples minded being shown sleeping together on national television, before asking abstinence educator Mark Tatum what “the big deal” was. She then failed to allow the one couple, Sasha and Jordan, who insisted they were abstinent, to explain how they came to the decision to refrain from sex. The general take-away was that abstinence is not feasible for teenagers."

Planned Parenthood at it again with another grotesque Jesus, Women and Baby defying web site

An Unplanned Education-"Planned Parenthood took me “Down There” and exposed it all. The self-evident wrongheadedness of their thinking, that is. A new campaign waged by the abortion provider is as crass as its name suggests. But it is more than that. It is an expose — in that most pithy and au courant of forms, web video — of why we get nowhere in America when we talk about sex education. The “Take Care Down There” campaign takes shape in web videos of young people talking about threesomes and sexually transmitted diseases, because that’s all kids could ever talk about, right?...A creepy older man suddenly enters the picture and dispenses advice — say, how to use a condom — to the eager teens, sparing no one’s delicacy in the process. Check out Planned Parenthood’s Teenwire web magazine and you’ll have everything you forgot to think about before you embarked on that summer abroad: “Condoms, dental dams, and lube…Even if you think you won't need any of these items, they may come in handy for a friend.” What would you do on vacation, after all, without dental dams?!"-Your tax dollar at work supporting such web site by Planned Parenthood (see more on a previous email at 3 great new movies Expelled (Ben Stein)..).

Check out http://www.valuesvoternews.com/ this next week. Some breaking news on Obama and the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. Actual documented records of votes to be available for download and viewing when Obama would not allow the Protection Act to be brought to the floor even with the now documented amendment which will be available to view that proves Obama's reason for not voting yes on this bill is in question or at least you can be the judge of that rather then the media or Obama. Not only did he stop the bill cold in committee but so did 5 other democrats. Also, 5 minute interview with the actual nurse that testified before Obama and Congress that brought awareness to this atrocity all providentially originiated in the state where Obama's political career began and hopefully ends unless prayed for change occurs. And there will be much more for context and such also, how the media is handling these new documents and so forth.

Same Sex Marriage first time in California today

Biblical marriage vs. CA courts: Ruling today-"The California Supreme Court has rejected appeals of its ruling that the state must issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples beginning at 5:01 p.m. (local time) today. But the Supreme Court's decision merely hands the case back down to the California Court of Appeal, which is charged with deciding how and when to implement the high court's ruling. It is that power that Matt Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, is appealing to now...."The California Supreme Court only addressed two of the many statutes regarding marriage. You can't simply address two statutes when there's [sic] literally hundreds of others, all of which reference 'men' and 'women,' 'male' and 'female,' 'husband' and 'wife,' all of which have to be addressed," Staver explains. The Liberty Counsel chairman says failure to take matters such as that under consideration is one of the primary reasons the U.S. and state constitutions do not let judges write laws. "All of the confusion illustrates one point: judges should not be in the business of being politically active lawmakers," Staver points out. The appeals court, according to the attorney, should stay the decision to give the legislature time to examine the hundreds of other state statutes that could come into conflict with the Supreme Court's ruling. "It's that court which is tasked with implementing the particular ruling. It's at that level we're asking, now, this court to do its job, to follow the rule of law and to stay this decision," Staver says. Liberty Counsel's press release says this case "is far from over. We will not give up. The people will have the final say on marriage."

Marriage Amendment/African-Americans were determining factor for Bush in 2004? Is this why liberal media silent about this issue?: For how ABC, NBC and CBS has treated this story:A good hour long discussion concerning Same Sex Marriage issues in California from a conservative perspective.-You'll get a perspective that ABC, NBC and CBS are not willing to report on.

What do 52 members of US Congress and Brazilian President Luiz Lula have in common?-"Norway has become the sixth country in the world to give homosexuals the legal right to "marry,""

Ireland High Court Rules Against Gay 'Marriage' Citing Harm to Children Refuses Recognition of Lesbian "Marriage" Staged in Canada-"The United States-based Institute for Marriage and Public Policy commented on the Irish court decision, saying: 'Of particular interest may be the court's discussion about the evidence purporting to show no difference between children raised by same-sex couples and those raised by married couples. The judge accepted testimony about the methodological shortcomings of available evidence and said: "It also seems to me having regard to the criticism of the methodology used in the majority of the studies conducted to date that until such time as there are more longitudinal studies involving much larger samples that it will be difficult to reach firm conclusions on this topic."' 'The court concluded that the Irish Constitution's explicit reference to a constitutional right of opposite-sex couples to marry justified the legal distinction between same- and opposite-sex couples in the marriage law. The court further noted, however, that the marriage law was further justified by concerns with the 'welfare of children' since in the absence of good research, 'the State is entitled to adopt a cautious approach to changing the capacity to marry.'"-138 page ruling here.

Obama using smear tactics?

Is Obama using smear tactics on "the most listened to radio talk show in America"? -Obama has a new web site to fight emails that have been sent out to many that are falsely accusing him of certain things. You can click on above site to find this web site. And on many issues I can certainly see why he has dedicated a web site for such purpose. And I think it is a good site overall to quiet some false rumors. What I take issue with is in the way Obama is doing this he is, himself smearing conservatives and Republicans for obvious political advantages? Check it out for yourself!!

War time encouragement

Letters Show Strength of Soldiers' Faith-"Does war tend to strengthen or weaken the faith of those fighting? A man who has collected more than 80,000 soldier letters has an answer. For Arthur Craig, a letter from his son, 27-year-old Staff Sergeant Brian Craig, is precious beyond words."

Christianity under political attack in the UK and Internationally

Gov't Needs Christians to Help Counter Extremism, Bishop Says-"The Bishop of Rochester has attacked the “mess” of multiculturalism and urged the government to utilize the United Kingdom’s millions of Christians in building community cohesion. Writing in the Sunday Telegraph, Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali said that the “policies of successive governments and local authorities” and the promotion of multiculturalism “at the expense of national and community integrity” had led to social segregation, “parallel lives”....At a time when many Christians are concerned that the Government favors Muslims, the report similarly concluded that the Government was focusing on the “minority religions.”...Nazir-Ali said that such a policy would fail to address the problem of extremism. “Is that policy sensible or even realistic?” he wrote in the newspaper....“Such a challenge cannot be met by turning our backs on the very resources, spiritual, moral and intellectual, that both make it possible to fight extremism and are the reason for our determination to maintain all that is valuable in British polity, culture and public life,” he said. He urged the government to counter extremism by supporting faith groups in their civic work. “The Government should be putting its resources wherever civil society is being strengthened, where people are working for social inclusion, where the needs of the most vulnerable are being met,” he said....The bishop pointed to the thousands of believers who want to serve their communities because of their Christian faith. “Christian convictions are central to any explanation of why thousands of people volunteer for tasks, with no reward, knowing that they are doing the right thing,” he stated."

UK: House of Lords recognizes dangers of hate laws to free speech and religious liberty -"The Government backed down last night and allowed a free speech protection to be written into its proposed 'homophobic hatred' law. The decision came after the Government was defeated for a second time in the House of Lords. Peers voted 178 to 164 in favour of the protection yesterday evening.... This marks the end of a lengthy battle to make clear that the new criminal offence should not interfere with free speech or religious liberty."

First Amendment Victories

First Amendment Victory: Mass. School Agrees to Settle Free Speech Lawsuit and Amend Policies to Protect Conservative Student Expression-"School officials at a Massachusetts high school have agreed to settle a lawsuit over the school's alleged censorship of conservative political posters. The lawsuit, which was filed in U.S. District Court by attorneys for The Rutherford Institute, charged that officials at Hudson High School violated the First Amendment rights of students Christopher Bowler and James Milello when they censored their Conservative Club posters and discriminated against them on the basis of the club's conservative political viewpoint."

Documentaries

Bloodline: Another Unholy Hollywood Hoax? Don't be fooled by all these documentaries on PBS, ABC, NBC and CBS about Mary Magdalene and the discrediting of the gospels without first getting the otherside of the story. Another documentary has just come out. Check out this rebuttal to the documentary: BLOODLINE: Serious Documentary or Hollywood Hoax? and a in depth rebuttal to previous shows: The So-Called Jesus Family Tomb 'Rediscovered' in Jerusalem: "Monday morning, February 26, 2007, I heard this opening statement by Matt Lauer on the NBC Today show: "Is this the tomb of Jesus? A shocking new claim that an ancient burial place may have housed the bones of Christ and a son. This morning a Today exclusive that could rock Christianity to its core." When I saw the interview with James Cameron and Simcha Jacobovici I said to myself, "This isn’t new. It is a rehashing of the 1996 'Easter special' by the BBC!"

I believe that if both sides of the stories were given it would be clear that there would be no reason why one would reject the gospels in the New Testament over these other gospels that these documentaries seem to be hyping so much about.

First point and most important that I would like to make concerning these documentaries is that the question of "why were these gospels not included in the New Testament?" and the assumed response from these documentaries is because of something to do with the church fathers being against Mary Magdalene and the authority of women. This to me is just plain bias. Here's why. 1. The gospels themselves give great honour to women and more so to Mary Magdalene then probabily any other woman besides the other Mary (mother of Jesus)!!! Read the gospels with a view to see how Mary Magdalene herself is viewed and you will see this is not the case (remember that Mary Magdalene was first to believe in Jesus rose from the dead and Jesus rebuked the disciples for not believing when she reported it to them). But the most devastating in my mind critique of this bias is: 2. If you watch/listen to the documentaries themselves and their unscriptural conclusions then you will find the real answer as to why these other gospels were rejected!!!! It is obvious for they conclude conclusion that flat out reject the conclusions of the gospels given in the scriptures. Why would a church father include a gospel that leads to conclusions that these documentaries lead to that; Christ did not die on the cross for our sins nor raise from the dead and ascend into heaven but rather is in some tomb some where next to Mary Magdalene?????? The obvious reason as to why they were not included in the gospels is because they contradict the gospels. I mean you are talking about having huge contradictions if they were to be accepted. Not little arguable ones but theological salvation issue contradictions. I can't believe these documentaries miss this glaring obvious answer as to why they are not included in the New Testament. The only way I can understand it is that whatever school they got there education from must have been very biasedor they are themselves. This is theological absurdity to its highest degreee!!!! And these are "theologians" and people who I know are smart with PH D's that they are quoting on these documentaries. Give me a break!!! They have the PH D they should know better!!! This to me is one of the most devastating criticisms of these documentaries besides having no other side to balance out this nonsense with. They can only fool the ignorant and I suppose that is what they are banking on with their PH D's and the authority of Prime Time TV. And then to top it off they come out with this stuff during christian holidays. Puke!!!

I hope by God's grace that they see the light but until then may the one sided darkness of these documentaries lay exposed by the otherside and if Christ did die on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead and is ascended into heaven, which I believe He is, then what a darkness they indeed are in spreading the lie of all lies...."he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son."-1 John 5:10 and not only are they spreading one sided lies about God Himself and His only begotten Son but they do with such appearance of "journalistic, PH D, documentary filmed objectivity"!!!

May God save them as He saved me by the very Son they undermine and I have in the past remembering that just as much as we understand that we are to love our neighbour as ourselves (which is the 2nd of the 2 great commands of God to men according to Jesus) how much more are we to love God the giver of all our lives and heaven and earth with all our heart soul and mind honouring the first and great commandment according to Jesus. We all fall miserably short and need the blood of Jesus to enter into His place of rest and may we be found in Him on that day. The greater the command the greater the sin but in Christ the greater the GRACE and the more precious HIS BLOOD and the more powerful HIS RESURRECTION and ASCENSION and WORK in our lives today.

Take care all

On 04/15/2008, I did a report on a Wisconsin High School student who made artwork in a High School class with John 3:16 in it and the cross and got a "0" grade for it. Below is a copy of what I reported on in April and then last on this email page is the successful victory for the student in the courts...:

From email on 04/15/2008:

".....ADF attorneys defend Wis. high school student facing religious discrimination-You all may have heard of this one. It made FoxNews and the Sean Hannity show on CNN and MSNBC. "The teacher cited a document that the student and all other students in the class had been required to sign at the beginning of the semester which prevented them from creating artwork with the prohibited depictions. After the teacher said that the student had "signed away his First Amendment rights," the student respectfully protested by tearing the signed document in half...Citing a policy prohibiting depictions of "blood, violence, sexual connotations, [or] religious beliefs," officials penalized a Christian student for his artwork depicting a Bible verse and a cross but did not penalize students who included demonic illustrations in their artwork."

Complaint filed with District Court-On 03/28/2008.

Grandma Got Run Over by a 'Hate-Crimes' Law - "So, what's the big deal? Aren't "hate-crimes" laws really just aimed at people who commit violent crimes and at extremists like Fred ("God Hates Fags")Phelps?"

By the way Hate Crimes legislation has passed the Senate and the House since democrats have taken majority of the seats. I believe Bush has vetoed such bills and/or has threatened to do so thus stopping it.

Democrats Refuse Religious Freedom Amendment to Hate Crimes Bill -"Republicans offered proposals to protect other categories of citizens on the basis that other groups were particularly vulnerable and deserving of added protections if homosexuals were going to be a protected class."
