Thomas Paine vs Benjamin Franklin-"This letter 1 is Franklin's response to a manuscript Paine sent him that advocated against the concept of a providential God....Paine later published his Age of Reason, which infuriated many of the Founding Fathers."

Religious Freedom and why Hate Crimes create unequal protection

Must see videos for religious liberty/first amendment/free speech concerns...-"Speechless Silencing the Christians All Episodes No Registration required - Scroll Down for each episode-Must view videos to get you started with the dangers of a liberally ran America toward people of faith and different opinions and thus the threats toward undermining the First Amendment!!!"-This includes interviews with Crystal Dixon and Marcia Walden see What do these three black women have in common and what does Obama have to do with it? below is also another blog reporting another black gentlemen in the UK that was fired because "his beliefs prevented him from giving sex therapy to homosexual couples."

Obama congratulates Bush? Something I am sure Big Media will miss but who knows since Obama said it they may not!!!-"I salute President Bush for his leadership in crafting a plan for AIDS relief in Africa and backing it up with funding dedicated to saving lives and preventing the spread of the disease," Obama said in a videotaped message. "And my administration will continue this critical work to address the crisis around the world."..."The American people through PEPFAR are supporting lifesaving treatment for more than 2 million people around the world.Warren asked the outgoing President about his idea to include faith based groups in the initiative."I say especially faith based, not including faith based," Bush said."

Is the Bible contradictory on the issue of polygamy or is it possible that the Bible is consistent?-"Just because the events are described does not mean they are condoned...God’s plan, from the beginning, was not for polygamous relationships...God clearly commands that the king should not practice polygamy...because God used a sinful relationship to fulfill His plan does not mean that that action was right...Divorce was also allowed because of the hardness of the hearts of the Israelites (Matthew 19:8), but it was not part of God’s “very good” creation."

"Such a law creates unequal protection under the law" and some other interesting points.-"On November 21, William Smithson, 43, of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to life in prison for the September 2006 strangulation murder of 23-year-old Jason Shephard. Smithson, a homosexual, murdered Shephard after slipping him GHB, a date rape drug, then hid the body in the basement of his home...it is ironic that homosexuals used the murder ten years ago of Matthew Shepherd to push for hate crimes laws -- yet remain largely silent about the murder of Jason Shephard. "[It's] a true double standard, because Jason Shephard's murder has been under the radar screen -- and basically, unless you're in Pennsylvania monitoring this kind of stuff, you don't hear about it," says Gramley. "But Matthew Shepherd? Everyone in the country knows who Matthew Shepherd is...The murders of both Matthew Shepherd and Jason Shephard were tragic, but one murder is being used by homosexual activists to push their agenda of special rights," she states. "Murder is murder and increased penalties for attacking a specially protected group listed in a hate crimes law is a waste of everyone's time and resources. Such a law creates unequal protection under the law..."

Ex-atheist/liberal turn Christian/conservative discuss the absurdity of those protesting his speeches at various Universities...-"Protests void of reasoning can only hurt a cause of protestors. California legislators/Jack Black/Hollywood vs Archdioces of San Francisco-"Apparently Black and company find it hilarious to falsely accuse Christians while they intentionally distort the Bible...The hypocrisy speaks for itself....It is more of the anti-religious bigotry for which this industry, supposedly so devoted to “tolerance,” has become famous...Gay activists are correct that they have every right to boycott theaters or businesses that offend them. But that’s exactly the right that anti-communists claimed in the middle of the last century, and Hollywood has spent more than 50 years condemning this as an attack on hallowed free speech...The hypocrisy speaks for itself....It is more of the anti-religious bigotry for which this industry, supposedly so devoted to “tolerance,” has become famous...Only someone utterly ignorant would make a video where Jesus descends in a vision to humanity only to sound like a lawyer for the ACLU..."

New 620 million dollar new Capitol Center mistakes our national motto and Abraham Lincoln's famous table displayed but without a Bible....-"The main problems as far as the prayer caucus members were concerned:- "E Pluribus Unum" was represented as our nation's motto, though the motto is actually "In God We Trust."

Unfairness Doctrine-"The fact that this regulation would go after, specifically, radio shows just how politically motivated it is because, in essence, they're going after conservatives by the sheer fact that conservatives have dominated talk radio over the past couple decades...it is their domination of the mainstream media that most encouraged the rise of talk radio, and the conservative right had little choice but to create a new forum for communication."

Will more bullies be encouraged to sue businesses that operate according to religious values?-America-"In addition to paying New Jersey $50,000 and McKinley $5,000, eHarmony will provide same-sex relationship matching services called “Compatible Partners” by March 31, 2009, and give the first 10,000 same-sex registrants a free six-month subscription."...Australia-"Today someone who dares to speak the truth about homosexuality will lose his job. Tomorrow he will likely see prison, fines and other draconian penalties imposed."...UK-"A Christian relationship counsellor says he was sacked because his beliefs prevented him from giving sex therapy to homosexual couples"...Canada-"A marriage commissioner is suing the Saskatchewan government after being fined $2,500 for refusing to marry a gay couple."

5 more First Amendment Case Victories to a total of 43 since 06/2008-California-"The District must now refund the fees it charged CEF, including interest. The judge also ruled that Liberty Counsel is entitled to receive attorney's fees from the District. Liberty Counsel has represented numerous CEF groups in similar cases all across America and we thank God that we have never lost a case."....California-"As part of the new settlement, the city agreed to making the preliminary injunction permanent, protecting the right for Jews for Jesus to distribute literature at future events."...Louisiana -"Christians should not be discriminated against simply because of their beliefs; and contrary to the contentions of the ACLU, they have the same rights of access and participation at the festival as anyone else does," Johnson adds. It's been the most popular plate people have had the opportunity to choose"

International/Iraq/Liberal Media Bias/Politics

New York Times refuses to report role of Islam in Mumbai Massacre-"The Bush administration and the Iraqi government have agreed on a timeline to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq by December 31, 2011...Of the broadcast network newscasts Thursday evening, only the NBC Nightly News took a few seconds to note some more good news from the war front as fill-in anchor Lester Holt reported "combined deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan in November" stood at eleven, "the lowest total since the U.S. invaded Iraq."

Snopes and FactCheck caught misrepresenting the position of those after Obama's birth certificate....-"Update 12/5/2008 I may be wrong but I think this statement should be corrected to say that Box 7c contains a question as to the Usual Residence of Mother not whether the birth was in Hawaii see http://www.wethepeoplefoundation.org/PROJECTS/Obama/Evidence/SAMPLE-HI-BirthCertificate-circa1963.htm. At least not what I can tell from this 1963 copy although in 1961 it could have been different. But the fact that Hawaii "allows the birth in another State or another country to be registered in Hawaii"....Update: 12/3/2008 09:34 PM Note that the conference that is being held on 12/5/2008 is about another issue other then the birth certificate but concerning Obama's qualification as a natural born citizen via dual citizenship at birth. Again these cases are located in the above links for you to view each and everyone. They all have different angles but one goal of verifying the eligibility of Obama to be president."

Links to actual cases against Obama concerning "natural born citizen" and some important distinctions that has confused many-"If 5 of the 9 Justices respond in the affirmative, they could grant a stay of the Electoral College vote..."

Economy

New York Times not telling you the whole story once again-"The period before he was elected to a House seat from Illinois is a little-known episode of Mr. Emanuel’s biography.” And an important part of it seems destined to stay little-known.Heavily sourced and researched, the nearly 1,700-word Times piece mentioned 12 separate companies and 16 individuals that figured in Emanuel’s career over the three years in question. But Luo didn’t find space for a single mention of Emanuel’s involvement with Freddie Mac during the same time period"!!!!

Pro-Life

Why I decided not to be an abortionist?-"Yesterday, there was a long human interest story in the Washington Post describing how staunchly pro-abort Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine med student Lesley Wojick determined to abandon her aspiration to become an abortionist to instead be an anesthesiologist.Lesley's reasoning was honest, although, despite what she did and saw, she's still pro-abortion. 'Don't get that. But here's how she decided, after helping commit a 2nd trimester abortion.."

If FOCA gets anywhere get ready for a cultural battle!!!-"Catholic members of Congress who vote for the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) could face “automatic excommunication” if the act is determined to be “formal cooperation” in the evil of abortion."..."Bishop Paul Loverde of the Roman Catholic diocese of Arlington, Va., said last week that if the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) should become law and a Catholic hospital in his diocese is forced to provide abortions, he would refuse to let the hospital comply, but he would also not close the institution."..."Through the website FightFOCA.com, more than 290,000 Americans have expressed their strong opposition to FOCA, urging Congress to summarily reject it...The model resolution is available at http://www.FightFOCA.com/AUL_Model_Resolution_FOCA.pdfFor more information about FOCA, visit FightFOCA.com (a project of AUL Action)."

Hats off to ABC for taking on an issue that concerns pro-lifers with fair and balanced coverage..-"I was deeply pleased with the report on ABC. It is so nice to get some refreshing points of view other then Obama's, liberals and democrats for once. I just want to applaude ABC for this report. ABC to me has been the most balanced of all Big Media (ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS) networks and this is just an example as to why. I would still push for more balance but hats off here!!! May God bless ABC for giving a moral voice for life and the unborn....
This is the second hats off I have given to ABC since the election. First was at Obama's tax plan changes to more like a Republican one? Also, Election coverage TV ratings in!!!. "

Colmes defends Planned Parenthood on Hannity and Colmes-"Colmes is in a no win situation and it's obvious!!! See more Hannity and Colmes videos. This show is a fair and balanced one. Hannity is not on this particular show but a fill in. Usually this show features Hannity and conservative and Colmes a liberal and then they have guest on their show to discuss an issue. Hannity gets to ask questions and so does Colmes of the one representing an issue and the one representing the issue gets to respond. It is an excellent set up!!!"

Education

Sweden has a universal voucher program!!! School Choice....-"Rupert Murdoch has used his fourth Boyer Lecture to slam Australian schooling. No punches pulled here. "Our public education systems are a disgrace" was almost his opening sentence. And the reason is clear : "despite spending more and more money, our children seem to be learning less and less."..."Yet in spite of millions being poured into sex education schemes, Mr Clark writes that the pregnancy rate among under-16s “has hardly shifted at all, and nor has the overall number of pregnancies. Britain retains, after the US, the second-highest rate of teenage pregnancy in the developed world.."..."Exhibit A is school vouchers, to fund students rather than institutions. This is common in higher education and, for basic education, it was first proposed by Adam Smith in the Wealth of Nations in 1776."
